Jimmy Buffett famously crooned about the gash he opened up on his heel when he "blew out [his] flip-flop [and] stepped on a pop-top" while sauntering through Margaritaville.

But, in the land of sun and surf, the king of the Parrotheads is hardly alone in falling victim to the perils of our footwear favorite.
