According to mapquest, the arena is 1.34 miles from that hotel. I booked a room there just in case, but they wouldn't let me use either the AAA or AARP rates. Nothing available for the dates I wanted with those discounts.

Just a heads up for any out of towners (like me) who are thinking of going. I clicked on the link at M'ville.com about ticket sales. Tix aren't being sold through ticketmaster, it's something called idahotickets.com. You might want to set up an account ahead of time to speed things up.

It's a super nice walk if it's NOT raining!!
I've stayed there twice and been really happy. One time I got a free breakfast that was AWESOME.....the next time they didn't give me breakfast. Either way.....nice bar, super clean rooms, nice staff.

I'm not completely out......it's such a short drive for me (in the grand scheme of things).
Come back from Vegas on Monday......work Tuesday and Wednesday....take Thursday and Friday off....be back for work on Saturday.....it's doable.

I am meeting with a buddy of mine that owns the bar The Endzone right across the street from the Taco Bell Arena. Looking at doing a Buffett Pre-party since tailgating may be tricky because of school being in session and the October weather.
Thinking something along the lines of an all you can drink/eat w/ Landshark (work with me, this is not the place to complain about beer and besides they will want to do something for this) and a BBQ of some sort for one small price. Also do give aways and promo type things. They have a good sized, nice outdoor deck and fenced area w/ horseshoes and such. Right across the street is Bronco Stadium and TB Arena.

What are your thoughts?

Out of town folks, I can get you on a list and just pay when you show up.

Also, If there are enough of you, should I look into getting another friend of mine to get her hotel (Hotel 43, right Downtown) to offer a Parrothead deal?
