Why? That means the Vikings, Giants, and Bears all stay home. I hate the Cowboys too, but would rather see them in the playoffs than all of those others....

Romo really is unrootable. I don't envy him the morning papers in Dallas.
That said, congrats to Ravi. I will be interested to see how the Skins do in the playoffs. We (G-fans) are going to have to deal with RG3 for a long time coming. They'd better do something about their O-line though, dude was getting tossed all over the place.
Was it Tuck who said he is angry at the football gods because of RGIII?
Not going to say that the Redskins will get to the Super Bowl because I think the 49ers are better of a team, but I think we may be able to squeak by Seattle just because the Redskins are playing them at home and not in Seattle.
They really need to step up the O. He was already hurt/not 100% going in.

The Redskins offensive line has been an issue for the past few weeks again. I think they lost a couple of linemen to injury and one to suspension.

Hey!

Giants played like the SB champs they are today. Too little too late, dammit. One positive note, the rookies look good...some serious staff realignment in order for the off season.

Seattle has a better defense than Dallas and Russell Wilson isn't Tony Romo. Last week against a pretty good San Francisco defense, the Seahawks scored 42 points. I wouldn't be surprised if the Seahawks win.

Thanks to RGIII, I now have no fingernails but am a happy amazed camper! Even though I hate the Cowboys, I really feel for Tony Romo....his boss almost knocked the window out of his box seats....it could have been Romo's head...

I was hoping Peterson would break Dickerson's record but since the Bears had already won, knocking the
Giants out of the playoffs, I'm glad the Vikings beat the Packers and got in.

There isn't one playoff team that would surprise me if they made it to the Super Bowl from either the AFC or NFC. Sure, the Patriots and Broncos and the Falcons and Niners have the edge but there is really no favorite team nor any team that is noticeably weaker than the others.

Maybe the only thing in the NFL this year more stupefying than figuring out the playoff picture going into week 17 is the coaching carousel after week 17. Seems like this year there's a bumper crop of firings and an overload of speculation on who's the hot coordinator to be the next super star head coach. Anyone remember the Bill Belichick Browns?

Remember, the 49ers also gave up 30+ points tot he Patriots too so they may have had a slump in their defense. for a couple of weeks. Not saying Seattle is bad, but I think they are catching a hot streak like the Redskins.

Not sure how many people here read Peter King's articles on the Sports Illustrated web site during the NFL season, but he had an interesting fact about the NFC East over the past nine seasons, ok, maybe interesting for those who follow teams in that division, but there hasn't been a repeat NFC East Champion over the time frame above.
last nine winners: Philadelphia, New York, Philadelphia, Dallas, New York, Dallas, Philadelphia, New York and now Washington
