My predictions this week for the winning teams:

Bengals over the Texans
Ravens over the Colts
Packers over the Vikings
Seahawks over the Redskins

ESPN is reporting that Ray Lewis is retiring. He should have been retired years ago, in jail. Murdering mofo.

There is a joke in there somewhere, probably relating to an interception.

He didn't just throw an interception, he threw the game.

So, is it a good suggestion that you avoid the NFL Network tonight at 9? They are replaying the Sunday night game.

I agree with Cincinnati and Seattle. Green Bay probably will win but I'd like to see Adrian Peterson run through them again like he did Sunday. In the other game, I'd like to see the old Baltimore Colts beat the old Cleveland Browns.

I hope whoever the announcers are for the Seahawks/Redskins game don't do what Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth did Sunday night. They sounded like they wanted to get their Robert Griffin III kneepads, drop down and slobber all over his knob.

Might be a conflict of interest there . . . but it is legal in D.C. Wonder how Ravi feels about this? :pirate: Make an obvious comment . . . make an obvious comment - come on, you know you want to !!!!!!!

I disagree with that assessment. Christian Ponder, a normally mediocre QB, had a really good game, especially on 3rd downs. He's the reason the Vikings won. Peterson had a ton of yards, yes. They also fed him the ball A LOT. He had a career high in carries. He actually was below his season per-carry average. If the Vikings are behind (and if Ponder is his normal self, they'd likely be), Peterson doesn't get anywhere near that many carries. Ponder had the best QB rating of his career. Without that, the Vikings are out and the Bears are in the playoffs. Remember, this still was a 3 point game despite 199 yards from AP and Ponder's heroics.

I'm looking at Green Bay, Houston, Seattle, and Baltimore winning. But I wouldn't be surprised if any of them go the other way.

Here's one thing I will say about the Seahawks' chances...

When you hear someone described as "making others around him better"....that is RUSSELL WILSON in a nutshell.

He's not the most talented QB out there (but he's pretty good). But when he is on the field, everyone else just plays better. A true leader....Bucky was lucky to have him for one great season, and the Seahawks are lucky to have him now.

I don't think my friends' TV would have survived if they had put that atrocity on again last night. Isn't sitting through it once enough punishment for me?

I want the Colts to will because I don't want the Pats to have to face the Ravens.

Damn idiots! :x
Agree. The Ditka's none too happy-

3:30 p.m.: Mike Ditka still has quite a bit of clout in the Windy City, so listen up when he says he doesn’t like something. Ditka is irked about Lovie Smith being let go, calling the move “stupid.” “I think Lovie is a very good coach,” Ditka said Monday on The Waddle & Silvy Show on ESPN 1000. “Everybody is a little bit different in their manner. I think that’s a 10-win season. They started 7-1. This team, there’s a reason they lost some games in between. A lot of the wins they got in the 7-1 run were because of turnovers by the defense were turned into points. The offense didn’t score enough points in those other games. That’s the bottom line.” Ditka also bemoaned the injuries that afflicted the team throughout the season, but he saved his harshest criticism for Smith being fired despite the Bears being in the playoff conversation until the last game. If the Vikings hadn’t won Sunday night, Chicago would have played again, likely saving Smith’s job. “If Minnesota would have lost last night and the Bears were in the playoffs, this wouldn’t have happened,” he said. “That’s a fact. So how stupid is it then? It really is stupid. If they would have made the playoffs, this would not have happened. They did what they did. They took care of their business, and Minnesota played a great game against Green Bay.” Ditka also seemed to say the front office didn’t set Smith up with the tools to succeed. “The organization doesn’t need turning around like a lot of the other ones,” Ditka said. “If they want to get back to the Super Bowl, you’re going to have to have the right players.”
