I am so excited to have got 2 tickets for the Fillmore. I have seen Jimmy 30+ times but not at the Fillmore. I saw him one other time in a small venue at the LV Margaritaville grand opening. Is any one planning any pre partying somewhere close to the Fillmore. It would be fun to turn a good old SF bar into our own Margaritaville for the night. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Tahoe Parrothead, you will love Jimmy at the Fillmore. If you want to be up close, get there no later than 5PM. Earlier the better. We have been no further than 10 feet from Jimmy in the previous years. You will get pushed around and probably have some beer dumped on you, but hey, it is the Fillmore and stuff happens. We will be in line by about 4 so visiting local taverns is probably not much a possibility. Enjoy the evening. The ghosts of the Fillmore will most surely make an appearanc and by the way, Go GIANTS and GO A'S.

I will be there, and I'm pretty pumped :D - it's been my dream for years to see Jimmy at a small venue, and in one of my favourite cities at that. I missed out on the 2005 and 2007 Fillmore shows, the less than a week notice before on-sale dates has never allowed time to book time off work and make travel arrangements in the past, but this time the planetary forces finally aligned in my favour! My wife and I were planning on heading to Maui on the 18th, and as luck would have it, I was able to book a flight with an overnight layover in Oakland, and I managed to score tickets for the show as soon as they went on sale. Barring any flight delays (fingers crossed) we will be touching down at OAK just under three hours before Jimmy takes the stage, then it will be an 'Amazing Race' style dash to get to the hotel to check in and drop off our luggage then straight to the Fillmore. Hope to see some of you Bay Area BNers there!

This will be our 3rd time seeing Jimmy at the Fillmore! One of the only time I heard him sing God's Own Drunk. The first show I saw was the benefit for Hurricane Katrina in ' 05. I was 7 months pregnant. Amazing show, caught Jimmy's flip flop!

Remember in 2010 before the Shorline show we were waiting to go in because we were watching the end of the Giants beating the Phillies and then Jimmy comes out wearing a SF Giants jacket! Hoping he will have reason again to do it tonight!

About time to come in from the beach and get ready to head to the Fillmore. Incredible 80 degree beach weather for the past five days. Hoping for magic tonight.
