Morganritaville 2012 , thoughts and a few pics

Very good short concert, played roughly 90 mins, he seems to have a lot of friends down there, although when you can buy and sell the people who are hiring you, it is easy. The highlights were Fransisco Sanchez, Charles Crist, and Deborah Shultz, playing with and talking with Jimmy. He talked a lot on a personal level to the crowd, but it was not in concert dialouge, some was but most wasn't, the standard (eruption/erection) jokes, and a few others about the stage accident made it in.

Set list was loosely followed, he dropped door #3 for Floridays, left our Pirate all together, and added in Growing old but not up, also cut out grapefruit, juicy fruit . Added in 1 that the crowd wanted, but I cant recall. He sounds really good, even inches away.


Pics/etc . Unless you donated at an obscene level, you did not get a picture with Jimmy, I got as close as you could before a houseboy caught on, he was in a small room, with a photographer, and Charleston was watching the door, the red wristbands got pics, The blue wristbands got access to the house, and some food, the rest had to stay outside.

Post concert, No wristbands meant you were not allowed in the house, and left the same way you came in, via a walkway on the side.. Jimmy was in a limo to the airport inside 3 mins of putting the guitar down , Charleston and Mac stuck around and mingled with the politicians, and by then most of the people were so intox, that nobody cared if u had a red or blue wristband, I was able to slide back into the back area and take pics , Chatting up the Treasury Dept Undersecratary doesn't hurt either, Gave a few people hugs, networked, and said my goodbyes. Would I repeat, Maybe.. Pay the amount needed for a pic.. No way , I will resolve to never get a pic with him .. lol. I do love his music..
