If I book the flight now, it'll be $210....travel insurance is $11

If I wait until an oPHicial date is announced....which as we know could take an extra month or TWO the flight alone will be more than $225.....

Anyone use travel insurance with Frontier Airlines before? Should I just book it now with the add-on??

Upon further review, here are the only acceptable reasons to cancel my flight: This policy covers if you have an unforeseen sickness, injury or death of yourself, a family member, a travelling companion or business partner. The policy also covers for being subpoenaed, jury duty, terrorist incidents, and unforeseen traffic accidents
You know, I never even thought about buying this until my parents-in-law had to cancel a trip a few years back because my sister-in-law got appendicitis. They got thousands back for just a few bucks. Not a bad idea, though you are correct that it won't help much for if dates change or whatever. Change fees are brutal.

I use it all the time in event of sickness...Never know when I have to cancel at the last minute. Although I have to get a letter from Rick's doc for the refund.

Exactly. I never did, but after their experience with a huge vacation that was cancelled last minute (not just a little trip), it seems like a good idea. I just did it on Tuesday, in fact, after buying a ticket for a trip. I like the security. Worth it if you ever have to use it, and appendicitis happens to the best of us.

Btw, Hippolyte, did I completely miss you last year? Somehow, I think I might have...? Or perhaps I just don't remember. That is possible, I suppose. ;)

Oh, right. And I'm back from lurkerdom, guys. And suffice to say that I'm in for the show no matter where it is (I agree with the usual comments here that the venue is better in Dallas but I personally like the tailgating in Frisco better, despite the size) and right now I think I can swing any of the weekends in question. Now to sit back and wait on the date!

Re: Travel insurance-be sure that it would cover the things that might be applicable for us. For example, most insurance won't cover "I guessed the wrong date for the Jimmy Buffett concert." You may want to see, though, about getting something like "Event Ticket Protection" which can reimburse your ticket cost if you're unable to make it to the show. Some of the "higher end" credit cards have this as a benefit on them.

Do you think they'd wonder if the doctor note had the same last name on it? My sister-in-law is a....wait a minute, she didn't change her last name. Only issue now is that she practices in northern Cali, not where I live.....

I've all ready had my appendix removed and my gallbladder.....

And yes Jedi, we saw each other last year, but it was less often and I wasn't constantly touching your butt....like Frisco 1.

I hope you booked a room already so you get some good prices. You know how they do these things over in Frisco. :D :D

How is the Margaritaville going in Bossier City? Maybe Jimmy will drop by while traveling over that way.
