This will be our first time with an RV, so of course no organized set-up. I see no overnight waiting in line, but how early can you get away with lining up Friday morning? Which would be the best lot and entry approach? Help!

We have booked a just in case room... Austin in the mix changes things... Not sure we can get to Frisco early enough on Friday if I am in Austin on Thursday... We were able to get a room about 8 miles away but if anyone knows of any closer (150 or less) let me know . I love the camper in the lot but I also love knowing I have a spot by my phriends.

We're there. Planning committee volunteers? Parking lot is our first order of business. We can't do the grilling/dunking/hot tub/tiki bar/silent auction without a unified space. Anybody???
Alternately, we can scale it down and still reserve the lot. Seems they just wanted prepayment to reserve. Still no in and out? I can't seem to find rules.
Pedicab companies will probably be all over this since golf carts aren't allowed. I can see my wife dreaming up some bike thing now. Phins up for phun in frisco

We would be happy to pay in advance for parking and have a reserved lot--as in years past. I agree that without a reserved area, there is no way for us to have an organized "feeding frenzy". I live out of state, so I can't be of much help when it comes to reserving parking lots and things. We got around the no in and out by taking a cab to dinner on Friday night.

Ditto. I will be coming to Frisco regardless, but might try to make Austin, too? I don't have to take off work for Austin, though, which is a nice perk for me.

I can't make it this year, but I wanted to let everyone know I talked to the Director of Operations at FC Dallas Stadium. They have revamped their policies and he sounds pretty firm in his decisions. They have a no golf cart policy and they are not pre-selling lots this year. He did say that all lots will open at the same time, which is different than the staggered approach they've used before. For everyone to park together, it probably means deciding on a lot and planning to get there at the same time to line up before the gates open. He did say he would let me know if anything changes, and I'll pass on any information I get from him.

I'm game for this, too. It can be done. I've done it a few times for Great Woods. Only issue is making it happen/finding a place to meet to drive in, etc. It's more of a logistical nightmare, but it can be done. I'm bummed to hear you can't make it this year, Bill. Best wishes for whatever you've got going on!

To everyone that would like to park together...I believe this is one option. The following site http://www.friscoparking.com/Additional_Services.html says that you can prepay and reserve spots. There are a couple of potential issues though. It is a huge grass field just to the east of the stadium (very close) and is a great place to park if IT DOES NOT RAIN...sloppy mess otherwise. The good thing is it is not controlled by the stadium, so I suspect some of the motorized rules would not apply...as long as you stayed on the fields. Someone might give them a call and see what's up.

I do not know if they have any availability left as I pimped it earlier, but we have a 2 queen suite at Stonebriar which is 4 miles from the venue and reachable with only a bit of north dallas tollway, some is surface streets. The rate was about $79/night, but varied. We are staying for a week so each night was different. hot breakfast.

It seems a little different this year. Normally you can enter the number of seats you want , the price range, and presale code, then it does a search and tells you there are none available.
Right now it just automoatically shows there are none available.

I sent them an email requesting some info . . . I believe they park in the empty field(s) just to the east of the stadium.
