I just checked Comfort, and ALL weekends from mid April till the end of May are blocked.
I guess since rooms are normally 89 a night, they are blocking them from us booking on a hunch and getting a lower rate before they go to the $300 a night rate?

Hate to drive at night, but we've done it before and we'll do it again.

It might be worth $300 if we could all cram in one room and NOT have to drive from Friday until Sunday.

What happened to the Holiday Inn Express on Preston Rd.? I stayed there for all 5 Frisco shows but when I went to the HI website the closest HI Express is on Parkwood Blvd. The one on Preston Rd. was a great location, you could walk to Hooters.

I was looking for the Hampton Inn that I thought was on Preston also but found it was on Parkwood.Blvd also. You aren't the only one wondering about this. Very strange but I went ahead and booked a room just in case!

Holiday inn express on Preston is now inn at stone briar. Park wood blvd runs parallel to Preston to the west.

You are right there Nancy. It seems where we stayed for Frisco 2 years was closer than where we stayed for Dallas last year.

But then remember, last year, that same Comfort Inn blocked all the rooms, and then Jimmy announced Dallas...so you never really know.

And this time, NO RAIN STORMS causing plane delays....

Frisco concert venue is A LOT closer to the Hilton Garden Inn we stayed at in 2011 than our Dallas drive last year.

I always want to stay at Comfort Suites Frisco over any other motel if we can make it happen. Can't beat walking distance.

And I can't drive a motor home.

My issue with comfort suites is that jack the prices up 3 times the normal room rate for that weekend.

True. And you know they are going to do it since they have all 6 weeks blocked.
But then $300/4 is $75 a night...and that way no driving and all can have an adult beverage or four.

SO, are we feeling this is a reliable tip? First WEEK or first Weekend? We really need to visit with friends and family while we're there this year so we will be staying at least a week.
