Those pesky Black Choppers.

They couldn't secede any more successfully than they can spell...but seriously,
if it meant Jerry Jones and Tony Romo would disappear ...then it truly is worth considering

Somewhat curiously it has been reported on the internet (so it must be true) that a few Republicans have said they would move to Australia if Obama got re-elected.
Just so you know how it works around here in what Jimmy called "the land of Boats, Beer and Beaches" I will present a few facts about our wide brown land.
Here in Oz we have:
Universal healthcare.
Compulsory voting.
Few guns.
No death penalty.
Pro-choice when it comes to contraception and abortion.
Openly gay politicians and judges.
Evolution is rightly taught in all schools.
Oh and our female PM is an unmarried atheist living with her boyfriend.
So if you are planning to come here be sure to declare your pitchforks at Customs.
Frankly and unreservedly, that list makes me genuinely proud to be an Australian.

Haven't been on for a while. Just logged on today and saw this post. Just the title of it alone made me sick.
Let me start by saying this: one of the many great things about this country is free speach and the ability to give an opinion. so keep that in mind.
Now, I am sorry, but it isn't "Congrats Mr. President" for me. It's a sad time. Sad to see our great nation on the verge of changing for the worse. The once sought after American Dream is now on the verge of death. The idea of being thankful for everything you have, working hard for what you have, and reaping the rewards of hard work are over. Freedom and Liberty all died when this Socialist left wing nutcase got re elected.
I understand there are democrats and liberals on here, so I know you will have your rebuttals to all this. But the fact is that this is the worst President in history and will go down as such. You people who voted for him have been so brainwashed and are so ignorant and uneducated it is startling. The democrats lie day and day out. All main stream media outlets have done whatever is necessary to brainwash you to think that everything is the republicans fault. Sadly, enough people fell for it.
Obama wants America and what we stand for destroyed. He is no Christian. He doesn't believe in Capitalism, Freedom, Liberty etc. He wants the government to control everything and everyone. That’s what the healthcare bill is all about if you have taken the time to really understand it. Massive debt through entitlements and stimulus. He wants to wreck the economy. It’s all done on purpose. Under the guise of making you think he cares about you. He doesn’t. All he and his cronies care about is power and controlling you.
Raising taxes on the rich as part of our debt problem?? Huh?? That would help pay for the government for maybe 1 month. Will do nothing to solve the problem. Oh and blame Bush? Unreal. What the media never told anyone is the housing crisis started b/c of a program started by the democratic controlled Congress in 2007 that forced banks to loan money to minorities and people who couldn’t afford it.
Oh, nevermind. I forgot this was a forum for Buffett. But hey, your original post started it. It’s just pathetic that so many people allow themselves to be so brainwashed and ill informed. If you think Obama and the liberals really care about you, you are in for a rude awakening.

"Free speech" or not it's statements such as this that only serve to drive people further apart and create a larger chasm when everyone should be pulling together. What's next, Democrats and Republicans taking up arms against each other? I certainly hope not but with all of the vitriol I've seen on both sides post-election it wouldn't surprise me. The media just loves this sort of thing, unfortunately.

Washington's political culture and the corrosive impact of money on politics are killing compromise, historian Doris Kearns Goodwin says.
"Even in LBJ's time, Republicans and Democrats stayed there on the weekends. They weren't running home to raise money," she said in an interview aired Sunday on CBS's "Face the Nation." "Money is the poison in the system, we can never forget that, I think."
Kearns Goodwin also pointed to the effect of the 24-hour news cycle in the deterioration of Washington culture.
"You have the television that honors people who are extremists on either side. You've got districts that are so apportioned. So the political culture has to change somehow," she said. "So maybe we do need to just put them all together in a room and not let them out."
To misquote JB, "...politics are in the hands of some crazy ass people..."
