What a pathetic p*ssy. There is no excuse for such cowardly bullish*t. Especially someone blessed with the physical traits and mental toughness to play at the NFL level. I am sure steroids rotting out his brain will be the reported cause of all this. Such a loser.

Probably, but not necessarily correct.  Who's to say what sort of demons were in his life that got into his head and made him do stupid things?  The real catastrophe is that once you add a weapon to the mix the stupidity can become terminal.

Phin power for their now-orphaned child and the rest of their family and loved ones.

He killed an innocent person before he cowardly took his own life. No excuses. No sympathy. No way. He could've gone to Africa and rubbed ebola all over his lame body and died a painful death if that is his wish. What he did has no justification.

He also shot the girlfriend in front of her own mother. And shot himself in front of his coaches. Can't imagine the horror and helplessness they all felt.

Wow, everywhere I have checked this topic, twitter, Facebook, blogs, it's been RIP Belcher.

Finally some place has gotten it right. If he had just offed himself I could understand it, but doing what he did to his girlfriend and leaving behind an infant, I say f him.

I did a little internet searching because I had never heard of him. He grew up on Long Island and went to West Babylon high school, about 30 miles east of where I used to live.

You're SO right, Jon.
It turned my stomach seeing E.S.P.N. showing the Chief's locker room after their game, all of the players holding each other's hands, and commiserating over the loss of their "brother."
As you said, he was a coward and a horse's ass. Too bad HIS mother didn't believe in abortion.
(Apologies to coward's and horse's asses everywhere).
