He was Norah Jones' father? I didn't know that until today.

When Norah Jones first hit it big, one of the NY papers had an article about her and it mentioned Ravi Shankar was her father. I thought that was pretty common knowledge but maybe, since she lived in Brooklyn, she got more press in the NYC area than in the rest of the country?chippewa wrote:He was Norah Jones' father? XM the Loft was playing some Ravi Shankar during lunch today, one track was the beginning the Concert for Bangladesh. He started plucking the sitar, and after about 15 seconds or so the crowd broke into applause. He stopped and said "If you like our tuning, I hope you enjoy the playing more."
