Who's watching Homeland?

I just watched the season finale. It's going to be a couple of hours before I can articulate what I want to say about it without it merely being a string of expletives thrown together with the word balls tossed in a few times for good measure.

This show is one of the most brilliantly written things I've seen.

I've been watching it since it started last year. I posted on FB last week that as long as it's on they should stop voting for the Best Actress Emmy. Just give it to Claire Danes every year.

I watched the first season just before season 2 premiered and I've been floored from the first episode on.

Last night's episode was brilliant. I can't remember the last time I was that captivated by an hour of television. All of the performances were amazing, but Mandy Patinkin, especially, just gutted me in the later part of the episode.

He is one of the few people I would be genuinely startstruck by upon meeting.

I've been watching it from the beginning, but I've been down to my folks' mostly since Thanksgiving. I went back to my place and watched 3 or 4 episodes straight, but haven't seen the season finale yet.

Did you guys see the skit on SNL that they did about Homeland?
Ever since then I can't watch Brody's daughter anymore as I know it will just be another whining scene.

I agree with you Larry, Claire is awesome with all her facial expressions!

I want to shake Brody's daughter most episodes. She's 15 and keeps talking about the way he is and how well she knows him and what he ALWAYS did. He was gone for eight years! What I knew about my mom when I was seven was that she was a good mom, she let em eat six Oreos in a sitting and I wanted her to sing Edleweiss to me at night when I went to bed.

Jessica was getting a little irritating until the penultimate episode this season, too. How she can get angry with Brody when she was carrying on with Mike the way she was, I don't understand.

The fact that I've given so much thought to the personal lives of these fictional characters just reinforces how well done the entire show is.

Everytime I hear crazy jazz music, I think of Claire.
