Since when has jimmy made it a point to announce the cities he's not going to that year? I'm not being smart, but I don't understand your comment. I'm pulling for all of you to get an alpine valley show, I just don't think it's going to happen this year. North Carolina and Tampa didn't get dates either this year (though they will probably be on the winter leg)

What years has Jimmy missed Alpine Valley? I can only think of the Wrigley year in recent memory and that was due to some sort of contract clause.

Other than the Wrigley year he's played Alpine every year since 1995. Anouncement was May 4th last year, if we dont hear anything in the next week and a half or so, that's when things might get interesting. I personally like the late anouncement, seems like tickets sales are slower. We were able to sit under the roof for $50 last year!

What the powers that be are missing is our limited time to get out and have fun during the warm months. Heck, it is almost May and it is still 35 outside. I am trying to plan and budget my summer accordingly. We all have limited funds and vacation time. That is why everyone up here wants an Alpine date announced. 3 1/2 days off. Tickets, camping, food, booze etc adds up to a $500 weekend. For that kind of money I could hit Vegas. Come on Jimmy, give us something to look forward to this summer.

Listening to last night's Buffett Buffet on RM, Kirsten mentioned about the tour kicking off on Saturday night. She also mentioned that most of the dates have been announced, and that we are still waiting for the rumoured Las Vegas, and Alpine Valley dates.

Alpine will happen!!

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet or not, since tonight is the first concert is it possible to find out from someone who buys a tour shirt if East Troy is listed on the tour shirt?

I'm in line at the t-shirt stand right now. Alpine is listed right between Jones Beach and Las Vegas. Consider it confirmed.

Thanks much, but like the old adage goes, a picture says a thousand words! [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif]

Enjoy the concert!

I'll post a picture tomorrow if no one else snapped one. I bought one of the shirts it's listed on. I don't know how to do it using the mobile version of the site, so I'll do it at home. Trust me, I hollered out in excitement when I saw Alpine and high-fived my sister

Would anyone else like to find out when those tour t-shirts were made? I bet it was back in February or before.

Here is the shirt I bought in Nashville. Couldn't tell you when it was made, but Alpine is listed.

Isn't it weird that the shirt lists Alpine instead of East Troy? Listing Jones Beach Theater as Jones Beach is technically correct because it is in Jones Beach State Park in Wantagh, NY.

Maybe I'm just being silly or maybe Alpine is the only good part of East Troy, so people think of it as a city onto itself.

I have tour shirts from 95 to as recent as Pensacola in January... I just checked a bunch of them, some years it says Alpine other years East Troy.. The same with the Indy show.. Some say Indianapolis, others say Noblesville... I guess it just depends on what the designer put on the shirt...

Slightly off topic, but big news that would interest the people who annually meet up with me to caravan to the parking lot.
A huge fire ripped through downtown East Troy on Friday. Two historic buildings on the square were destroyed.

Wow... the shirt KNEW East Troy would burn, so it listed Alpine as the only thing left...
