Remember, the only thing that is absolute canon in SW is the Films.CaptainP wrote:If I'm remembering, it's Anakin Solo that turns out to be the best Jedi candidate of the Solo children. Jacen and Jaina are talented but Anakin is the scary one. But it's been a decade since I read any of that...drunkpirate66 wrote:If you go by the hundreds if not thousands of Lucas endorsed and official Star Wars books, Clone Wars plots and sub plots, and graphic novels (of which I have read like 2) it is not really a singular plot . . . unless you are really thinking universally and your statement, P, is just about Jedi's doing stuff. If it does continue from where the original 6 left off Han Solo and Leia have kids who are Jedi's. One of which, Jacen Solo, is quite the bad as$. Luke Skywalker eventually does turn bad and Jacen kicks the sh*t out of him. The Emperor comes back, somehow, and creates something called a Galaxy Gun.
Good to know!maid memories wrote:There's a special soap for that.tigzoe wrote:I agree with Jon for once. I feel so dirty.
I pretty much agree with this, although I might put A New Hope at 1 with Empire at 2.drunkpirate66 wrote:
I actually rank the Revenge of the Sith (Episode III) over Return of the Jedi (Episode VII).
My rankings in order:
1. Empire Strikes Back (V) Perfection.
2. A New Hope (IV) Perfection.
3. Revenge of the Sith (III) Pretty darn good flick. The ending was a little cheesey and rushed. But overall - awesome!!!!! Yoda v. Emperor. Anakin v. Obi Wan. The opening 20 minutes were epic.
4. Return of the Jedi (VI) Too Many Ewoks and the Emperor getting thrown over the railing is lame sh*t. Vader. v. Emperor light saber fight would've been legendary. Why Luca, why didn't you give the fans the greatest fight scene ever imaginable!!!???
5. Attack of the Clones (II) - only because I waited my entire life to see Yoda fight otherwise this piece of s*** would be ranked beneath Howard the Duck and Troll II.
6. Phantom Menace (1). Jar Jar. Pod Racing. Horrible CGI. Everything about it except the Obi Wan/Qui Gon v. Maul light saber fight.
In real like Qui Gon, Obi Wan, and Darth Maul would've put their differences aside for a night gone out to a bar and got sh*t faced together and then they would've ridden over to Jar Jar's house and beat him to death and have a good laugh about how better the universe is without him. THEN, and only then, they would've fought.sonofabeach wrote:I pretty much agree with this, although I might put A New Hope at 1 with Empire at 2.drunkpirate66 wrote:

As disappointing as Phantom Menace was, it still has the best (if not the best) light saber duals with Obi-Wan/Qui Gonn vs Darth Maul. I wish they would've kept Maul around a little longer.
Thank you for the laugh.CaptainP wrote:Interesting article about, well, us: http://www.theonion.com/articles/millio ... oti,31035/
Looks like someone needs to come out of his parents basement once in a while.

It looks like Disney is really excited about adopting the Marvel-verse style of movie making. I'd love if the three stand-alone features went something like Yoda, Boba Fett and Darth Vader between Episode III and IV.
While I'd be excited to find out more about what Han did during his pre-A New Hope years, if anybody does anything to tarnish the perfect memory of my first love that is Harrison Ford as Han Solo, I won't be able to live with it. I clearly remember being four years old and standing outside the theater after seeing Return of the Jedi with my uncle screaming at him because he kept calling him Hand Solo. Fortunately, I didn't get the joke for years to come or else I might have gone all Yoda on him.CaptainP wrote:So it sounds like the Stand-alone movies will be Boba Fett, Yoda, and Han Solo

Which, BTW, was one of Mel Brooks' better parodies.
