Sometimes it pays to be old (sometimes)

Take a look at this list of places that offer senior discounts IF YOU ASK.

If you're age appropriate, print this off and save it for your next shopping/dining trip or when you travel.
Remember, if you don't ask, you will not get the discount.
I've already tried a couple places on the list, and they do indeed offer the discounts.
(Sorry, Larry, HOOTERS isn't one of them).

I take advantage of all the discounts I can get at Hooters - I go on Wednesdays for the boneless wings special, I use the coupons I got when I bought the 2013 calendar - but if I have to pay full price I don't mind. I'll take one for the team.

Caveat — The Verizon Wireless "65-plus" plan for $29.99 is tailored for seniors who only have one line, do not text, do not have a smartphone, and talk less than 200 mins per month; and then of course you have to factor in your federal, state, and local taxes and surcharges.  It works for some people, though.

Only 16 more years!

They should give the discount to those of us that are 50 at heart, too.
I knew this girl made of memories and phrases, who lived her whole life in both chapters and stages.
Danced 'til the dawn, wished all her worries away.

She's a long way from a West Nashville grand ballroom gown.
