Yes they do. Opie and Anthony did a break on it this morning on XM. Apparently a lot of peopelhave them as a C.Y.A., because people in Russia will stop short or puposely walk into the side of your car inorder to collect insurance money or to scam you for money on the spot.surfpirate wrote:Seriously. I've heard it's a common ploy for someone to pull in front of you and then slam on the binders so that you hit them, leading to either a payoff or the threat of a lawsuit. In addition, law enforcement and traffic regulations are nebulous at best in many of the European and former Soviet bloc countries, and cops are not above the occasional shakedown as well. As a result, motorists run dashcams all the time because the video evidence can be and is often the only thing that prevents them from paying through the nose or winding up in court.
