Just need to vent , hope you dont mind
posting on here because I dont everyone,in my family on facebook to see it

Sort of like family a family problem

You would think that after spending 3 weeks in India, where they grew up, someone,read,my dad, would be more appreciative of all we have in this country and not whine more, right ???
And not complain about such trivial things as how much food we have for dinner when he returned from a country where 32.7% of the total Indian people fall below the international poverty line of US$ 1.25 per day (PPP) while 68.7% live on less than US$ 2 per day.
while About 60% children in Madhya Pradesh state are malnourished, Ithink this might be the area my dad is from but I dont know
and through all of this he claims to be a ' christian' for instance tomorrow hes probably going to be Mr. nice guy in church, until it comes time to eat then if he doesnt get what he wants ,the other side comes out and makes me wonder about him.

Other people's actions are somewhat befuddling sometimes, even if it IS a parent.

Sadly my mother can be a lot like that at times. Nothing anyone points out to her or says or does ever even makes a dent in the way she is. She doesn't see the way she is and there's no changing it, regardless of how it's approached. It's infuriating, and disappointing, and there's absolutely nothing I can do about it. I pretty much just have to turn a blind eye to much of it and force myself to ignore her shenanigans.

It sucks, but some people are so very stubborn and there's not much you can do about it.

I will tell you the same thing I remind myself of often, all too often when dealing with my parents, "trying to understand some people is like trying to smell the color nine."

Vent away. We're cheaper than therapy.

Sounds like my mother, however she has dementia, so I never know when its her, or her other side talking.

You can choose your friends, you can't choose your family.
