but, but, what about the tailgating or lack thereof

You'll be fine, sure last year wasn't like 2010, but it didn't s*** either. I'll be honest, even at Jacksonville the tailgating wasn't the best, but we sure had a great time with DNW, LIPH, Parrothead Red, Irishfiregirl, and a few other's who's Buffettnews names escape me at the moment. You go and make the best out of the situation.
