Original uncut 4:20min Margarittaville written for Elvis!?!

Hi fellow Parrots!
Does anyone know where the Original Margarittaville studio recording is ? This is before they messed with the time signature, removed two verses and sped it up 1/2 time? I think the Original studio was meant for Elvis to record, is 4:20min long.
But to make it RadioPlay-Friendly, they messed with the arrangement, removed two verses and sped it up1/2 time. I know he has been known to include one of the two missing verses in live concerts which deals with old men checking out the young women while souvineer shopping, wishing they could lose some weight,etc...
Is this rare Original studio version in existence anywhere that you fellow Parrothead's might know about?
What really blew me away is that Jimmy wrote it with Elvis in mind! Too bad he passed before he had a chance to record/release it.
It's almost like Otis Redding's "Dock of the Bay". What we hear on the radio is the 'Demo' he recorded 2 days before he died in a plane crash. The whistling is there at the end because he forgot the last verse! His Producer was smart enough to postumously release it, 'cause he knew they had a hit..
Didn't mean to stray off topic... Still looking for any info on the original (Uncut) Margarittaville.
Thanks in advance.
60's Rocker.

As I understand itt, tthere is only the one lostt verse, the "Old Men" verse.
Tthe song was editted ttwice, and also sped up. Tthe firstt editt removed the lost verse. The second editt justt ttrimmed itt down for radio play, but the partts tthatt were ttrimmed did remain on the album cutt.

The lost verse was cut out to make it “radio friendly.” Apparently that wasn’t enough. The original length of “Margaritaville” is four minutes and twenty seconds. The radio edit shaves another minute off of that by:
•Removing the interlude between the second chorus and third verse.
•The song structure is changed from “riff-verse-chorus-verse-chorus-interlude-verse-chorus-refrain-riff” to “riff-verse-chorus-verse-chorus-verse-chorus-riff” by removing a section during the third chorus and final refrain.
•“Margaritaville” was sped up a half-step.
Jimmy Buffett Can’t Spell “Wastin’”
They only way to know about this is if you’ve seen Jimmy Buffett live, when he occasionally includes the lost verse. I’ve included it below.
“Old men in tank tops,
Cruisin’ the gift shops,
Checkin’ out chiquitas, down by the shore
They dream about weight loss,
Wish they could be their own boss
Those three-day vacations can be (or “become”) such a bore”
(The Radio Edit Is Even Shorter)
So your point is to check that everyone does not have 'spell check' rather than to just provide an answer to the question.
Thanks to all for the warm welcome for my first post. Have a great day!.

The album version of Margaritaville on Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes is 4:09 this version does not contain the "old men in tank tops...." verse.
The running time for the radio edit is 3:20 with the edits described above.
I don't believe that a studio recording with the lost verse has ever been released, a version with the lost verse included was released on 1999's live album Tuesday's Thursdays and Saturdays.
The radio edit 45 rpm can be listened to here (note this is not my video and there are some song samples after Margaritaville ends):

Honestly did not mean to do that. I fall back to the 2nd ever BN Critters comic strip from March 28, 2008 ...

I'm betting it was never written with Elvis in mind and that the lost verse was never recorded.
I've heard him tell the story of Margaritaville years back and never mention Elvis.
Makes a good story though, one of those Semi-true stories imo. As he says, "the truth is stranger than fishin"

Who knows. According to a post I included in this thread from the All Things Music Plus page on Facebook, he divulged the Elvis tidbit during his appearance on CMT's Crossroads with Zac Brown. That was the first I'd heard of it myself.

Y'know, I've been on this board since 2009 and have been listening to Jimmy a lot longer than that. Never before (until the CMT interview) had I ever heard "Margaritaville" and Elvis mentioned in the same breath....even among Elvis fans.
Secondly, you can't "speed something up" by a half-step; you increase the tempo, usually by a measured amount (beats per minute), although this could sometimes be a proportion such as a half, third, etc. It is pitch that you can move by half-steps; from key of A to B-flat, for example.
Thirdly, the radio versions of Margaritaville I've always heard are "intro-verse-chorus-verse-chorus-instrumental bridge-verse-chorus-repeat chorus". I have no clue what 60srocker means by "riff" or "refrain", and he ignores the bridge entirely.
It would be interesting to know where he first heard about a supposed "original studio recording", unless he is referring to an early track laid down in the sessions that was discarded for a later and better version and was never intended to be released in the first place, much like the first draft of a book, script, speech, or screenplay. -"BB"-
