I'm not even Catholic ... but I find this intriguing ....

Wondering who and what name he'll choose?

Be pretty cool if it's something non-traditional like Pope Fred or Pope Howard.

Connie told me whoever becomes Pope
needs to change his name to Onarope.

I'm leaning towards John Paul III

76 years old.
From what I can tell the Cardinals chose the oldest of themselves that were considered to be contenders for the job.

Well they have picked a new "Chief Kiddie Fiddler".

Sorry but given the systemic and institutionalised protection of paedophiles perpetrated by this organisation they deserve little public adulation.

Until a time comes when they purge themselves of the paedophiles and their protectors then they have zero credibility and any other perceived good must be viewed through that lens.

I was hoping for Cardinal Sicola to be elected.

Would have liked to have Pope Sicola.

Actually the oldest Cardinal announces the new pope. Did you see the guy propped up on the balcony? I wondered if he knew his own name, much less who the new pope was.
Pope Francis is 76 yrs old with one lung....but he is a Jesuit!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

It's good to see there's at least ONE career path that does not discriminate over age in the work place.

I still think Connies idea was a good one.

Can you imagine Pope Onarope?
