Getting excited for this show. I really wasnt when I bought the tickets but now I could really use the break and of course its on my birthday. After breaking up with my girlfriend we might be going to it together again. Hoping Olympia Goes all out.

Stopped in at Bookies Bar & Grill before the Tiger game the other night. Did bring back some memories from some of the madness I saw at Bookies last year for the Buffett show.

Was bookies where Don middlebrook and Air margaritaville were playing? If so we went in between don and AM. It was packed and my friends didnt want to pay 10 bucks since we missed Don so we went to the comerica lot and watched a 80's band. lol that was out of place but somewhat welcomed.

Middlebrook was playing the rooftop at Bookies I know. There was no fee for that. I think Air Margaritaville played outdoors where there was the charge.

Looks like neither is playing this year. No word on the comerica party yet. I see the DPHC has updated their site with some info.

Looks like Olympia is starting the margaritaville party at noon again this year. They have also posted a updated 2013 parking lot map.

Even though they own my spot "detroit cab company" its still allowed to park cars under the old owner and isnt listed but its right across woodward by the henry lot.

I was out of town last year for this show...does anyone remember what time the lots close to the stadium were full?
Salt air it ain't thin,

And make you feel fine.
It makes you feel fine.

The lots infront of the stadium was filling up at 8am and Fox 2 was broadcasting their morning weekend news from their. The other lots were filling up a few hours later. We got to our spot and it was empty at noon but its not on the map, the olympia lot across the street was packed.

I would say most of the lots that are close were filled by 2pm.

Define close. We got down there well after noon (it may have been closer to 2), and were able to park in front of the port a pot in lot G.

Last night during the Virginia Beach Pre-show Jimmy said that Miska would be playing prior to Jackson Browne hitting the stage.

I am loving this Buffett like weather :) Glad to hear it may cool down just a tad for Saturday, however. Hot and tropical is great for lounging but not so grand for a day of tailgating and then a concert IMO.

We are staying in Greektown for the weekend then meandering our way around on Saturday. Maybe we will see some folks?
well, ummmmmmm, yah, I guess I better come up with something witty to put in this spot since everyone is reading it.......

I may be staying in the broom & mop closet at the Comet Bar for the weekend. That or I may set up a pup tent next to the picnic table in back. Pop in Mel if you get a chance. Just follow the trail of blood!

haha, the Comet.

I'm not a big enough baller to afford the 500 a dollar a night Greektown rooms. Gonna end up in the suburb hotels since I moved and technically am Homeless now as I look for a new place.

Had a teenage snooki smash up my truck today and I got the ticket. The cop said he knew I was in the right but he has to write it that way and that I should fight it. WTH?? Not a good week, hoping for a great weekend.

I'm at work right now, but my Buffett vacation starts in 5 hours and counting. I have a friend coming from Chicago later today, and she will be having the Buffett experience for the first time this weekend. The DPHC party is Friday night, Buffett on Saturday, and Mac McAnally on Sunday. Let the fun begin, and I am glad that the weather is going to cool down a bit for Saturday.
