So we will once again be heading to Chicago for another show. Everything is booked but the hotel. We're still playing the game on priceline.com but I'm getting nervous that we have over-played our hand. Last year we were able to stay downtown for the weekend and the bill from the parking ramp was bigger than the hotel bill. Me thinks we may not be so lucky this time. We haven't hit the panic button yet (we've got over two weeks), but we have located it and made sure it's in an easily accesible place.

We're still trying to plan our tailgating, usually we end up just bouncing from tailgate to tailgate (the wife is good at making friends). Anyone know of a lifestyle friendly tailgate or get together?
:o :o Are you saying & asking what I THINK you're saying & asking????? Just kidding.
I myself had to Google "lifestyle friendly." Umm yeah, I think he is saying that. :)

Correction: Margaritaville will open @ 10 to start the party and then there will be music, etc in the south lawn starting @ noon. Either way, this a fantastic development! See you there! Full article on ***********.com

OK I have officially talked myself into Chicago! Had a blast with you all last year and I just can't miss out. Still need a ticket (So if anyone has something not on the lawn they aren't using think of me).
Logistics still in the making but ill be there Friday if there is a pre-party somewhere!!!

see you all at the end of the month!

Yes, I am saying that. It's not for everyone, but we sure enjoy it!!!!

Also, please tell me more about the water taxi from Margaritaville to the show! We still haven't booked our hotel and that would open up the north side for possible hotels.

First we are planning on leaving our slip and getting to anchor off the island by 10am and hanging out on the water all day. Chicago is a great city and is no more dangerous or expensive than other big cities. Its my home town and I've traveled the world and there is a more well designed city as far as open park space on the lake. The simple rule for chicago is respect her and she'll welcome you.

If you want to do it right...... you want the full "Chicago" experience.... Start at the Billy Goat Tavern.... They open at 6am.
Did you hear the one about me being a punk?
Did you hear the one about me being a drunk?
Did you hear the one about me losing my nerve?
Or how I'm just another f**** sheep in the herd?
Did you hear the one about me giving a s***?
Cause if I ever did I don't remember it.

But if you want the full "Buffett" experience........I would advise against starting ANYWHERE at 6:00 am.

Early bird gets the worm..... Nothing wrong with a 6am start time. Did it plenty of times in my "Buffett Prime"

My brother-in-law is putting us up at his condo at 18th and Michigan, he can drop us off in the morning, we water taxi to the show, then taxi home. Absolutely no driving involved [smilie=battingeyes.gif] that means it is time to party on!!! :wench:

36th & 37th concert, but, first concert north of Atlanta. My buddy & I are going to Indy on Thursday, White Sox/Indians game Friday night and Chicago on Saturday. Looks like the Margaritaville party/water taxi will be a good option. Looking forward to meeting some new friends from the "Great White North".
