Now that all of that is sorted out, let's move on to a tailgating discussion. Will we get to hit the parking lots, beach, and boats for the tailgating trifecta? All day long? Who's in?

Parking will be at Solider Field with shuttle buses to and from the venue, VIP parking is $30 separate from the ticket price. As for the beach not sure what the deal is.

I was able to get 10 tickets in the lawn! It was weird not having a 6 or 8 ticket max.

Me too! I had Livenation open on my iPad and computer at work and it was taking forever so I used my iPhone app and it was quick. I got 8 tickets the first time and then got 2 more before either of the others came up. USE THE APP if you are still trying!

Still considering going to this show. I want to do a little more research on the facility. If lawn is truly flat, not really interested. If we do go, it could be tailgating on the South Shore line (assuming they dont ban alcohol for the day).

The venue has already confirmed that tailgating will be allowed, just no word on details yet.
Do you really need to see the stage perfectly to enjoy the show? It's all about the environment and company you're w/, so who are you kidding? You're in.

You will not be able to see the stage from the lawn. There will be video screens, but no hill or viewing elevation. Imagine 22,000 people on the floor of an indoor arena. You can search Northerly Island artist rendering for details.

The venue posted the following on their FB page..
There will be tailgating on the roof of the Walden Deck and the south lot of Soldier Field.
And also...
The lawn will have a slight elevation

I've been told I am eligible for a club ticket. I'd only have to pay face value, no t/m service fees, convenience/handling fee, etc.
HMMM. Well,.............

There's still a ton of lawn seats left (was able to almost purchase 8 still), yet they are selling for up to $100.00 apiece on StubHub.
What am I missing? Or is that just what they do and hope someone will buy?

It's weird that you can only get 6 tickets now. Yesterday you could get up to 50 tickets.
I have used Stubhub before to sell poplular concert tickets. We had people drop out early so I put the tickets out there for a pretty high price. It was a sold out concert and I wanted to wait until closer to see if we would find someone who wanted to go. But I figured if someone wanted to go that bad they would pay for it.

(Don't worry, it was not a Buffett show, I would not do that to Parrotheads). Nobody bought them and we could not get anyone to go so I dropped the price down to double and they sold almost immediately. I think a lot of people put a super high price because they want to go but if someone will pay that much for it, they would take the money over the tickets. I see this for Bears tickets all the time. But the $100 lawn tickets are almost obviously scalpers just trying to make a few bucks...too bad for them! I think there is an example of my scenerio for this show. Someone has 1-8 lawn tickets listed at $999.99. Probably just someone who figures what the hell...
I wonder if more tickets will sell after they post the tailgating logistics. I'm sure a lot of people are waiting for Alpine too. We are going to both so doesn't matter to us! Hopefully we will get some more details for tailgating soon!

I was looking around and I found this website for parking information for Soldier Field.
http://www.soldierfield.net/content/parking-information
I called the number and the guy said that the details are still being figured out. He said he thinks that parking passes will be available to be purchased in advance for the roof of the garage and the South lot. He said that he thinks it will be the same rules as the Bears games. I hope they get a little lax on that because they do not allow tents for Bears games! He also said probably 4 hours before, but we all know what happens when we show up earlier! We can block traffic if they don't let us in! hahaha He said they should have the details on this website when they are finalized.

City of Chicago is a little different than your smaller municipalities. They will not hesitate to arrest you, have the Pirates tow your car and give you more fines than you could imagine.
