I totally get it.. I organize a bus for about 50 of my parrothead friends each year at Alpine Valley, and it's the highlight of the summer for myself, and a lot of them. Unfortunately though, people's summer schedules fill up fast.. so the longer the delay on getting a confirmed Alpine date, the higher the risk that some, if not many, will not be able to attend. It gets extremely frustrating when so many other dates are announced early on, but no word on Alpine.. I'm sure there is some truth to the fact that the promoters are waiting to sell more tickets for the Chicago show, but I think that inadvertently 'punishes' those that would prefer to see him at Alpine. I understand that this isn't really Jimmy's fault, but you would hope that someone, somewhere would at least consider all of this when the tour comes together. The Aug 24 'rumored' date has been floating around for quite a while now, so it will be a little maddening if it suddenly becomes 'confirmed'.. what took so long??

All we can do is keep our fins crossed for good news soon!

With that being said my wife and I are usually fortunate enough to see two buffett shows a year....but by no mean do we plan our lives around it. The idea of being a parrot head is more of a state of mind for me. I work hard most of the year which allows us to vacation at our place in Florida for a month of the year. Not a bad deal for a couple in their early 30's and late 20's. now if I could just live LIPH's life. :)
You want to be about twice as old as you are now, unemployed and single? :o

May is just a few days away and I understand the situation with the promoters, but as long as Jimmy has been performing, you'd atleast think that he'd be right up there with these other entertainers and their large abundance of dates that they have listed on their websites.
"May your thoughts be as glad as the shamrocks. May your heart be as light as a song. May each day bring you bright, happy hours. That stay with you all the year long. " Sláinte!"
