My Buffett Experiment

Post by jbfins »

For what seems like many, many years I have been coming to this site on a daily basis. It's one of the three or four websites that I check every morning. (That's websites in total; this is the only Buffett related site I go to). His music and books are big part of my life and this site has helpd me indulge in my appreciation of just about all things Buffett.

But that is all going to end. For a few months anyway. You see in August I am going to my first show in about 10 years. I don't want to know what the set list is comprised of, so I will be purposefully avoiding this site. Apart from occassionally listening to RM in my wife's car, my only JB related info will be what everyone else gets from the rest of the world. Which I do not think is very much.

I think it will be interesting to see what that is like. For example, how and when will I find out that the new record has dropped? What are the odds of me knowing if he does an interview on RM about the new album? What if he plays the bar down the street from my house and I could've gone?

Anyway, I'll report back in a few months and give you my worthless 2 cents about what it is like out there.

Enjoy your summer!

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"
