With all these performers it's unlikely anyone would be on stage for more than 30 minutes which is about 5 or 6 songs. I'm sure Dane Cook and Steven Wright will be used for the in-between musical act entertainment.
But I'm not going to just see one single performer I'm going to see the collective entertainment. But I really hope there is at least one JB and JT duet.
I wonder who the headliner is suppose to be, if there is one.....my guess is everyone on stage at the same time doing.....sweet caroline.
I read Donnie Walhberg (sp) of the New kids on the Block really facilitated getting a lot of acts this concert. Aerosmith was the toughest act to nail down he said bit that was because the bad was scatted across the country after wrapping up a recent tour.
I think you're right, no single headliner.

Too funny, of all the acts listed so far, Aerosmith is the one I LEAST want to see. I get that they are the iconic Boston-area fame group but of the B-listers I personally am more psyched to see J Geils and Boston.
I'm wondering if Bruce will sign on/show up...his son attends college in Boston.
You only have two options - havin' fun or freakin' out...

One band i always wanted to see , and haven't yet is Aerosmith . i like there older stuff. Extreme is very good love the song get the funk out. J Geils i've seen twice , great in concert , but that was 20 plus years ago. Are the Cars still together?? Also Billy Squire , he was from Wellsley.

The Cars?
Billy Squier would remind me of dorm parties (ok, frat parties) in my early college years.

Bruce's son goes (or went to BC)... with that said I hope he is a no show too. Can't say I'm a Bruce fan.

Pulled out the old Boston CD this morning.
They might still rock, but they have a different lead singer. I think the original one committed suicide a few years back.
I doubted that whoever it was could still hit those high notes anymore anyway. I'd still be psyched to see them
I'm wondering if the "massed band" song that they always do at the end of these things will be "Sweet Caroline" led by Neil Diamond.

Ditto.
Care to speculate/wish list the duet?
Nautical Wheelers?
Mexico? Fire and Rain?
When they were both in the lineup at a benefit at Madison Square Garden a few years ago (with about 6 other performers), when James Taylor did Mexico Buffett came out and sang it with him.
It's a moot point now. I think I had a better shot at walking on the moon than getting tickets. At 10:01 there weren't even single seats available. They probably also held back a ton of tickets for promotions, the performers and sponsors. Hopefully it is on TV and/or they release more tickets.
Too bad they couldn't have done the show at the much bigger Fenway or Gillette.

Keep trying, I got a single at 10:05 in the first set of off the floor seats. Carol got 2 singles after I got mine.

I give up. I got in right at 10:00 but the captcha wouldn't load. By the time I could refresh I was getting no where. Found some single seats up in the sky around 10:30. Couldn't find any tickets of 1+ seats. I think ticket master is a messed up monopoly. I'd almost rather them do a ticket lottery like Phish does instead of this mess. Oh well. Now that I've struck out on the Mansfield show and this show I guess I'll just make a boat drink and get comfortable on my couch with radio Margaritaville. To all those who got tickets, have a great time!!
it is strange how no tickets on stubhub, you would have thought people would have them listed asap. There must be alot of tickets promised to sponsors first responders politicians etc..

I guess it was pretty hit or miss because I screwed up the code TWICE and still got in for a lower loge seat. Several friends made it in as well. Hopefully it will be broadcast live like the Sandy concert was.

Can't list them on stub hub because of the paperless thing. You have to show up with all of your friends and present your ID and credit card to get in.

Evan graduated last year from Boston College. When my keet was a freshman (she's graduating this year), she had been playing drinking games in the Sailing House with a guy she only knew as Evan James. Later when they were both drafted in the first round of the BC Beer Olympics, did she find out it was Bruce's kid. Her roommate and Evan's roommate were dating. We had to listen to stories last year of being backstage at the concert in Boston.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

They're paperless, you can't scalp them. You show up with your credit card and ALL members of your party at once. Tickets only go to the person who purchased them with their credit card. I'd think it would be hard to co-ordinate scalping someone
