I'm wondering if Bruce will sign on/show up...his son attends college in Boston.
One band i always wanted to see , and haven't yet is Aerosmith . i like there older stuff. Extreme is very good love the song get the funk out. J Geils i've seen twice , great in concert , but that was 20 plus years ago. Are the Cars still together?? Also Billy Squire , he was from Wellsley.
The Cars?
Billy Squier would remind me of dorm parties (ok, frat parties) in my early college years.
I saw The Cars when they 1st came out , it was at The Yale Bowl in 1980 with Eddie Money , The Henry Paul Band and The Beach Boy's as headliners.
Billy Squire i saw open for for Pat Benetar at the Cape Cod Coliseum.

With all these performers it's unlikely anyone would be on stage for more than 30 minutes which is about 5 or 6 songs. I'm sure Dane Cook and Steven Wright will be used for the in-between musical act entertainment.
But I'm not going to just see one single performer I'm going to see the collective entertainment. But I really hope there is at least one JB and JT duet.
I wonder who the headliner is suppose to be, if there is one.....my guess is everyone on stage at the same time doing.....sweet caroline.
I read Donnie Walhberg (sp) of the New kids on the Block really facilitated getting a lot of acts this concert. Aerosmith was the toughest act to nail down he said bit that was because the bad was scatted across the country after wrapping up a recent tour.
I think you're right, no single headliner.
I think Aerosmith is playing in Asia around that time so that may be the reason.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
If anybody is interested in this show, ticketmaster now has a few extra seats that were just released. There are only 2 price ranges available at the moment...the $175 and the $125. I went for the $125...more money that I really want to spend right now but this will be a pretty epic show! Can't miss it!

Yeah the wife and I are going. I think I have seen all the acts before except Jason Aldean and NKOTB. It reminds me of a benefit show I went to 10 years ago at the Garden which was a fundraiser for the family of Tim White, a respected music writer who had passed away. That show featured Sting, Billy Joel, James Taylor, Roger Waters, John Mellencamp, Sheryl Crow, and a few others. It looks like this show is going to be just as impressive.
I am hoping we get some collaborations...hopefully JB with James Taylor. I would also expect James Taylor to do something with Carole King.
Glad you also got tickets. Enjoy the show!

I can still pull single seats as of 1:35pm today.
There's something going on at Dick's Last Resort at Fanueil Hall from 12 -5:30 I think.
Thanks. Only to 5:30? Show doesn't start until 7 and it's only a 10 min walk from there.
We probably won't get in until around 5-ish..so we'll try to make it over.
Course I can imagine there'll be a pretty thorough security check so that'll take time.
Rumor has it you don't want to be late.
I'm sure security will be tight. Plus it is a ticket-less even so everyone has to go though the credit card swipe which will take time. Are you going Jen?

Unfortunately, no.
I didn't realize it was ticket-less. That IS going to take time....

I have a pair of printed tickets(through the TD Garden VIP Tickets) in the Promenade for the Concert tomorrow night. The total was $250. I work in Downtown Boston and have the tickets with me.
I'm the CEO of the mail room clerks....good god almighty I'm a piece of work.
Pretty good article about this show and how it came together from the promoter Don Law. Mentions that Buffett immediately contacted him offering to help any what he could.
Among the first to call him was Jared Paul, the manager of New Kids on the Block, who suggested some sort of event to raise money for the victims. Law, whose power and reach have run deep within the entertainment industry during a four-decade career, sprang into action. He called his old friend James Taylor, who immediately signed on, and next Law got an e-mail from Jimmy Buffett asking how he could help. And then the wheels really started to turn.

Not the same as being there but at least it looks like wbz (cbs boston local) is airing the show starting at 7pm ET. Maybe they will do something on line as well.
You only have two options - havin' fun or freakin' out...
