Jimmy part of the Boston Strong concert is set to take place on May 30 at the TD Garden.
Will RM be there to have it live for us?

I doubt it, but I imagine the whole thing will be televised just like the 12-12-12 concert.

I know a lot of people here talk about how Jimmy sold out, Jimmy only cares about corporate business, Jimmy doesn't care about his roots. Well maybe or maybe not but I think Jimmy still shows a lot of class and a lot of compassion for the less fortunate as he seems to be at the forefront when it comes time to volunteer his time to raise money and/or awareness.

I don't think anyone has ever knocked him for taking part in benefits and/or donating time or money to charitable causes (many I'm sure that aren't highly publicized or are completely private). Lots of musicians, celebrities and private citizens are also giving of their time, resources and finances but it doesn't free them from criticism, constructive or otherwise. In other words, if myself or someone else expresses an opinion about Buffett's music, it's not an assessment of his character. As a young man back in the late 70's, it is Buffett that first brought Greenpeace to my attention via the liner notes in
Son of A Son of Sailor. While I'm forever grateful for that, it doesn't temper my thoughts on how I may feel about his music.

I would never say he isn't charitable.
I just want to know why I have to drive over an hour to get to a Margaritaville.
I would love it if he opened one in Massachusetts.

Personally, I've never set foot in one. I'm not saying I never would but I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything either.

That's cool

I can respect that.
I have visited a few, the waitstaff is usually awesome - and the food is decent.
I have made some friends at various Margaritaville's
I have also been to a couple of Cheeseburger In Paradise restaurants, and
the Landshark restaurant in SC...I found them to be lacking the vibe that the
Margaritaville restaurants had...but that's just my opinion.

I don't begrudge Buffett his success but I just don't tend to get as worked up about the latest Margaritaville, Casino, Landshark, etc. opening as other fans do. It's just not an aspect of Buffett that really interests me. I'm pretty content just listening to the music, which is what made me a fan to start with.
