Anybody ever hear of a tribute band called the "Landsharks"?

Here you can discuss any other artist including Sunny Jim, Todd Snider, Jerry Jeff Walker, Steve Goodman, James Taylor, Alan Jackson, Bob Marley, Kenny Chesney and others

Anybody ever hear of a tribute band called the "Landsharks"?

Post by Bicycle Bill »

They're scheduled as the main stage entertainment at the La Crosse (WI) "Riverfest" on Saturday July 6th as part of our local "Riverfest" celebration.  Show is supposed to start at 9:00 PM and go to midnight.  It's general admission on the lawn/BYO lawn chair, and all you need for admission is one of the Riverfest buttons.  They were here before – I think it was back in 2010 – and they put on a pretty good show.  They ain't Jimmy and the Coral Reefers, of course, but they ain't $100/ticket either.  And you ain't going to be paying $10 each for a can of beer, either!

So if you happen to be in the area that weekend, maybe consider swinging by.  Say "hi" if you see me; I'll be there, as close to the front as I can get.  Look for the guy in a "Summerzcool" tour T-shirt and BN nametag/lanyard.

They are the band that was playing on Greene St. in 1998 when Jimmy played during MOTM in KW for the first time.

There are/were audience audios out there to be had with a little digging. I think I may have a copy of the soundboard recording that Gary gave me but it's been so long, I don't know if I still do or not.
