I've only been to Hawaii twice and the last time was 6 years ago. I'll have to think about it.

I was able to find a RT flight for $890, but has two connections (MSN-DEN-SFO-HNL). 13 hours total travel time... not sure I could handle that?

I need more details. Like where is he playing......The Shell? I can get $840 tickets from BWI. When is the really big question. I have been begging my husband for years to take me to Hawaii. If he does this in January, we have a much better chance.

He SAID in December shortly before Christmas. We'll see.

Did a quick search for airfare for the week before Christmas - $1039. If that doesn't change I'll have to settle for listening on RM.

Airfare closer to Christmas is $$$$$

Around Dec. 5 to Dec. 15 is around $850 (IAH-Houston nonstop/ 8 hour flight)

Let's hope for earlier. That's doable.

Let's see...we will see him in Paris, then the first week of December we will be in Cabo. Can we make it to Hawaii later that month???? One can sure try!! Let the planning, finagling, whining, and begging begin.

He said the week before Christmas and at the Waikiki Shell. That was it.
I have two choices-work LOTS of overtime or don't go.
But I DO need a new Hooters t-shirt from Honolulu.

I am thinking of doing this. Depends on the time and if I win.

Was down at JB's today and found out show will be Dec 14th. Hopefully date will officially be released soon. Last show in March 2012, there was very little lead time before concert was announced and a pretty meager showing of Parrot Heads from mainland. The shows and Pre concert tailgate Party are always much much better with the more seasoned Phlock.
It's early but we're working on putting together a Preconcert tailgate event again this year which hopefully will include a couple of the Coral Reefers and also working on bringing out Jim Morris. If we can work with a local Travel Agency here and put together a Room, Transfer, Show Ticket package would that be helpful to folks? Also just checked airfare from SW Florida and it's currently at $786 on United for Dec 12-17th...and air/hotel packages for $1300pp which is a great price from the East Coast!!!
