In the town that coined the term “parrothead,” Jimmy Buffett announced that he’ll play a show based solely on fan votes.

Midway through the Cincinnati show on Tuesday night, Jimmy said that after the Songs From St. Somewhere Tour ends he’ll head to Hawaii where he’ll play the entire Songs From St. Somewhere Album, and then play a second show where all 27 songs will be decided by online voting. Every song in Buffett’s entire catalog is in the running.

Another couple of special shows to really look forward to.

We'll get a "Songs From St. Somewhere Live Album" probably.

Of course he will do this about as far from here as it gets.

Hopefully no one votes for "Margaritaville", "Fins" or "Cheeseburger". All songs I like but it would be such a refreshing change to hear him do a show without them (or any of the other standards for that matter).

I believe this is because of my constant bugging the Margarillas to get Jimmy to play "turning around"

I don't get the big deal about "Turning Around". Yes, it's a rarity but there's really nothing all that special about it aside from that unless you just have a thing for songs from John Candy comedies.

I can't wait! Finally something special for all us Hawai'i parrotheads that get a show every two years. If we're lucky!

I'd love to see phjim unlock the vault to the Buffett song March Madness that CaptainP conducted a few years back, where we all voted on favorite songs that he grouped into brackets. Penny? Can you talk to Oz? I'd love to see those results, and how they'll compare to this, should it actually transpire.

And I do hope that "Here We Are" isn't excluded from the catalog to pick from! A great song that was embraced but never played or recorded, besides the video, as far as I recall.
