Musings About Rum and Tomorrow

Kicking back with a glass or seven of Bundaberg Rum (an acquired taste, but us Aussies were brought up on it) last night with a few tunes in the background.

MaƱana was playing as I topped up the glasses - for medicinal purposes only, you understand....

The thought popped into my head "Is the lyric Callwoods rum or Calderwoods rum?"

The distillery in the BVI's is Callwoods, so I am confused.

I guess that it might have been changed due to the restrictions on commercial names in songs that got airplay in the US that were in place back in the 60's & 70's. Although by 1978 I thought the restrictions were done with.

Anyone got an insight?

Some research pulled up this gem:

Crickey I hope that story is true :)

It's Callwood's Rum:

I've got to head this boat south pretty soon
New album's old and I'm fresh out of tunes
But I know that I'll get 'em, I know that they'll come
Through the people and places and Callwood's Rum
