I'll be honest, I didn't care that much for the Warlock, and I AM a fan of Pumpkin Ales.
On the other hand, the Southern Tier Imperial Pumking is one of my all time favorites.

Hit and miss.
I'm a stout fan, but picky with which ones I like. I've had too many bad "flavored" stouts.
But there are many that I do like.

Funny you brought this one up. We had two hours to kill from the time we got out ticket for Pliny the Younger and when the keg was tapped so rather than go home and do yard work I was a responsible parrotthead and stayed in the restaurant and enjoyed a few of these collaborations. It was on draft and I really enjoyed it.

yes there are many bad flavored stouts, but then that is true of all beer types.

i've always been an ipa fan, but i've gotten a little bored with them. there's more variety in stouts.

i'm in a beer rut though, and i've gotten to where i will try anything that sounds new and different... even fruit beer :o

THE best brewery for fruit beers is New Glarus, hands down. They do not over-sweet their beers. In fact, they mostly use tart fruits and put them on top of a sour ale. Delicious. Sad for you, though....they don't distribute outside of Wisconsin.

Sheboygan, it is in Wisconsin.  Are you also a cheesehead/parrothead like myself, chippewa, Cap'n P, and Tikibar?

this is tonight's beer. it's good for the style that it is. the first sip was very sweet, but it mellowed out quickly.

My latest case of beer. A variety case from Duck Rabbit Brewing. Labels aren't fancy but the beers are good. An Amber Ale, a Brown Ale, a Porter and a Milk Stout. Sampled some last summer at Pittsburgh Summer Beerfest:

Wow, a brewery made a variety pack without putting an IPA in it? Rare!!!

Duck Rabbit specializes in dark beers. Not sure they have an IPA.

Last night's beer - Revolution Anti-Hero IPA. The first time I had it was 2.5 years ago not long after we moved up here (Chicago area) and it became one of my favorites. Made it over to the brewpub in Logan Square last year, and hoping to get back over there again soon.

We went out for pizza last night and Gino's had it on draft. :)
