Studio Album Suggestions

Post by nycfeat »

So, what studio albums would you suggest? Which ones are considered classics and/or must have but not greatest hits (though if it also happens to be a gh album, I'll consider it)?

I'm planning to order a disc or 2 with the new one. I don't have any. The only JB disc I have is the Fenway show.

Love all the above but a copy of Boats Beaches Bars & Ballads would also give you an all around Jimmy music experience. It was released in 1992.

Enjoy your trip around Jimmy Buffett music world. :D

I agree if you don't own any, just order the box set. It has a lot of great songs. My album picks are:

Floridays
A1A
Barometer Soup
Living and dying in 3/4 time
I'm back to livin' Floridays
Blue skies and ultra-violet rays

Any of the first four on ABC/Dunhill. Rancho Deluxe also isn't bad but it's probably more for the diehard fan. You can find good deals on these (as well as the box set and other titles) used via Amazon. You can even find some good deals on new copies of some of this stuff at around the $5 mark.

Sang,

A1a is great! 1@74

I love One Particular Harbour. 1983

Fruitcakes was another starting point for me. 1992

To me the albums tell a story of where JB was at that time.
