I was inside the speakers for the first show and the sound was ok. For the second show we were right next to the lighthouse and we got the sound on a delay. As much as I want to see some of the acts that do stadiums shows I'll wait until they're past their prime playing small venues.

Music is meant for music venues and sports is meant for stadiums!

I have Red Sox season tickets. I just emailed my contact over there. I doubt he will tell me much but I did ask if there was any truth to the rumor. I'll let you all know when/if I hear from him.

I was on the "floor" as well. It wasn't so much a problem of sound as the fact that the stage was so high that it felt like the band was further away than they actually were. I wouldn't go back to Gillette.

Each season ticket holder has a dedicated person they can contact with any questions. I emailed my contact last night about this. I didn't expected he'd tell me much and he didn't. He emailed me today and simple said he has not heard of any information on performers or concert dates for Fenway Park in 2014 yet and they haven't even had their department meeting yet with the group to discuss non-baseball events this summer. He said they start getting details in the next month or so.

if you're short I guess , or sitting.....Folk Fest in Newport, we were at the front, but the stage was set back a bit, so they seemed far away.

Hi Gang,

I've been lurking here the past couple weeks to keep up on possible dates.

An interesting announcement was made today which actually creates more questions for us. LiveNation just announced a Rascal Flatts show at Great Woods on 6/21/2014. That has obviously been the JB weekend for quite a while now.

Does that mean JB is altering his summer touring plans this year...or could it verify the Fenway rumors? Maybe he'll still come to GW on a Tuesday/Thursday instead?

Hmmmm...

Let's start that he's coming on Labor Day. I think the GW ship is sailing...

My guess is he'd a mediocre crowd on a Tuesday or a Thursday.

I really doubt he would do a Tuesday, or Thursday in the Boston market, which probably is his biggest fan base ( The Northeast).
