Great Woods 7/19/2014! Oh, it's on!

Well this is a disappointing rumor. After hearing of the magic of Great Woods for years and then finally making it there the last two years, Fenway would be a huge letdown. It's a long ride from Maryland for no tailgating. I've seen Jimmy at some stadiums and I'm not a fan. Guess this might be the year I make it to Cincy.

Worst case scenario, aside from not playing a New England show at all, would be a Tuesday or a Thursday show. That would blow. I would take a weekend Fenway show over a weekday Great Woods show, personally. My schedule fits anything. But weekday Buffett tailgates just aren't the same as the once were.

In 2005 he did Monday and Wednesday at Great Woods in June. I think the following year he did a Thursday & Saturday in August. It was Gillette in 2007, then the third weekend in June every year after that until 2013.

How about Tanglewood in 2014? What a show that'd be. They allow fans to bring food, chairs, tables, drinks into the venue. But that will never happen.

I bet 30% or more of the tickets are already accounted for. Hard truth - we, Parrotheads, are nothing more than means to an end and even at that we are expendable.

Well if that's the case my crew will be very un happy. It will just be a few of us if we go at all... who am I kidding I would still go to a concert that's only an hour away. I don't see Fenway selling out in any way. Ugh! looks like Ill be traveling to a new St. Somewhere this year too..... Maybe Cincy for me as well.

Its worth real consideration and swift action. I get people don't want to do this but really . . . just do it and make it the best possible time that you can. Its just money.

Ouch...that will be a tough weekend for me. I teach high school and that is graduation weekend for my school and most schools in the area. Not great timing...although they are at the mercy of the Red Sox schedule I suppose. Lets hope its later in the summer!
