Is that confirmed about Simon & Garfunkle? I would go to that.
I'd hock a kidney for that one but it's my impression that Garfunkel is still having voice issues.
Love, love, love their Central Park concert. True icons.

I wouldn't waste my money seeing them unless I knew for sure that whatever personal problems there were between the 2 of them had been worked out. I saw them at a benefit concert a few years ago and they might as well have been in separate countries. They were part of a larger bill and only did a couple of songs together but they barely acknowledged each other's presence while they were onstage.

They will NEVER fully work out their personal issues.
But the Central Park concert is sublime. If they can manage a full show together one more time I would not miss it.

Okay, I want a GW show as much as everyone else. But...... There are PHs in far flung corners of the country who would KILL for a local show, even if it was on the high school football field..... So if it's Fenway, we'll make the best of it and either go, or not, as we choose, but use it as a rallying point to spend time together on the Cape as well, or whatever, and hope Jimmy comes back to GW next year.

Agreed. Yes, we are spoiled with a yearly visit. But this is no different than the Chicago crowd hoping for Tinley v. Toyota v. Northerly or any of the other cities and their preferred venues.

we could be like the west coast, and wonder if they will ever get a show....also, there is Mohegan, he didn't play there last year , so who knows....arena's aren't great , but there is tailgating...Jen you know Boston pretty well , staying in Boston is wicked expensive, what hotels are on the T-line towards Newton or even better the riverside stop.

Great Woods is now booked 6/21, 8/23, and 9/6. JB @Fenway sounds more probable every day.

LOL yes, it was for the benefit of my non BN friends who usually go to GW with me. They are all very disappointed in all this news. I think we are down from our usual group of 12 to 4 if we go to Fenway. Its just not going to be the same.

For anyone that is thinking about this show and needs a hotel........Hotel Indigo is in Newton at the end of the Green Line at Riverside Station, going to downtown Boston, Fenway Park, and TD Banknorth Garden. We stayed there many times and it's resonable. You can walk easily to Riverside Station, it's right next door. If he plays June 6 or 7 or even the next weekend, we're out. But another weekend and I'll stay at my daughter's apartment on the corner of Beacon St. in Brookline.

I bet if New England had won the AFC championship, Jimmy wouldn't be playing Fenway. It's Tom Brady's fault.
