Jimmy, if you want to do a Stadium show , come to Rentchler Field ( UConn stadium ) in East Hartford , CT , Holds 40,000 for football , 3 great things about the location , plenty of hotels in the area , right off the highway , and the best yet , tons of parking for tailgating ( huge lot).....I saw Springsteen there, and it was awesome. I had 9th row, so from where I was, sound was great, in the back , I'm not sure.

A bunch of us ( 14) use to got down to NYC for the Big East Basketball Tournament every year , we would all jam into a suite. With the cost of Hotels in NYC ( we stayed at the Marriott Marquis) it helped.

I missed 04 so I am excited for Fenway. Totally get why you guys rather he not do it. Just booked a room at the hyatt for the 21st. The sound does makes me nervous. I cheaped out this past summer on Chesney at Metlife Stadium, and man was it horrible. Everything echoed. Lesson learned - good seats are always worth it. Where on Facebook was this rumor started? I also thought I heard on radio Mville today that it was potentially going to happen (after they played a song from fenway 04). Only time will tell I guess

Both Billy Joel and Elton John have tour dates for 2014 posted. B. Joel is playing all arena shows and nothing listed in Boston. E. John has his 2014 schedule posted too and it is packed most of the summer with dates in Europe.

And FWIW DMB who was one of the 'rumored' performers Fenway is trying to pry away is booked for GW in June 2014. Which obviously doesn't exclude him from playing at Fenway too.

Oh man, if he does Fenway I'll probably have to take a pass this year. We went in 04 and it was awful. Got to our seats and they were behind a pole and not marked as obstructed view.

This is very distressing news
No Great Woods = no Buffett for us this year unless Jones Beach or Mohegan are on a Saturday (which they usually aren't).
Even if one was, GW is the BEST place to see a JB concert!
If it wasn't, why was it one of the only venues that he played for 3 nights back in the day?
Just my 2 cents but I hope the Fenway rumors are not true...

what's funny about this is , i'll be sympathetic with the west coast fans ( and other states) , who would love to get a show . And we are complaining if he plays Fenway!!!....I guess we are spoiled that he comes here each year , sometimes multiple times. That we can tell him where or where not to play.
