how about we show a little love for Camden this year and give us a WEEKEND show
if not that, then please at least a Thursday show so that I don't have to take off 2 days from work
just my 2 cents

I say this every year but places like Camden, NJ are proof that our Federal government just doesn't work. Why anyone would pay money to go there. I mean no disrespect but something needs to happen there.
That should not happen in the United States.

Have been to Buffett at Camden. Lovely tailgate, great group of parrotheads. But I will not go back to Camden.

The Rumor Mill is now saying that Jimmy is going to play:
in Philly
at Citizens Bank Park
on Saturday June 21st.
Another baseball stadium?

He played there in 2005 and again in '08. I really don't understand the stadium rumors though. The last couple of years he's had trouble selling out some 20,000 seat venues, what's the logic behind playing 35,000-40,000 seat stadiums?

We were there in 2008, the show was delayed about 25 minutes to allow a thunderstorm to pass. It was an experience being crammed under roof (and I mean crammed since everyone was ordered to seek cover from the lighting) with thousands of drunks But, we did get an awesome fireworks show at the end of the concert

So you were part of the crammed crowd too?? That was before we were heavily involved in BN.

Our group ended up dancing on top of the dug out during Volcano in 2005. At least until we were ordered off it.
Where does this rumor mill come from for 6/21 at CPB?

I will take citizens bank park every time over Camden! Heck of a lot easier with a large rv and the parking lot attendants and police are a bit more friendly than what I've experienced over the last few years in the armpit of the earth know as Camden.

Don't know if this is what he's going for but in Detroit the last 2 years he has done Comerica Park....complete with a "Margaritaville" set up in a parking lot next to the stadium....of course serving & pimping his products while also providing a bit of entertainment. While I barely stuck my nose in there I'm sure it worked well for the novice tailgater!
Possibly the plan is to herd as many people as possible into these onsite "Margaritavilles" to gain Ca$h that may be lost in ticket sales.
Also, face it. If the stadiums are out bidding the sheds then what's it matter to Jimmy & Co.?
Plus maybe he'll add additional acts like he's done with Richie & the other J.B.

The Camden shows have been weekday shows the last few years. A Saturday show should bring in a larger audience.

Each year I say this is the last year i come to this "hell hole" of camden. nothing is easy there and they turn what would be a terrific laid back day into a stressful ordeal. I'll take Citizen's Bank Park any day. Sure, you lose the fun of the lawn, but i think it may be worth it. those CBP shows were always excellent.
finz up
