Security concerns. Gay rights issues.
Opening ceremonies.
Russian ineptitude and organization.
Putin shirtless. Putin dating a shirt.
And perhaps even some winter sports too.

Socheap pronounced Sochi. Uses silent P.
Sochi, a way to spell sucky.
Sochi, what women will say when Putin arrives shirtless on a horse.
Sochi, the name of the polar bear Putin will wrestle and win. (If the bear dies after by gunshot or something it will be disqualified)
Sochi, acronym for Soviets Occupy Chicago
Sochi, acronym for Soviet China
Sochi, in reverse, I had child of Stalin.

Not to be a huge downer, but.... I'm pretty worried about this Olympics. Lots of potential for crazy bad stuff to happen. Remote location, plenty of bad guys that would love to wreak havoc, screwed up housing, iffy mountain/snow/etc.
Prayers for all who will be there.....

Ten Ways Sochi Isn't Ready for the Games.
http://mentalfloss.com/article/54905/10 ... -not-ready
Since we boycotted the Moscow Games in 1980 we don't know how well they were set up back then so we really have no way of knowing if this sort of thing is normal with the former Soviet Union, but judging from the comments left with the above-linked article it seems to be par for the course in much of Europe. Given these problems and all the other uncertainties, maybe we should have skipped this one too?

Maybe we should be counting our blessings. Imagine what the death toll in this country would be like if all the gang-bangers/drive-by shooters/psychotic mass killers actually knew how to shoot them.

Just watched women's skeleton. USA gals in 2nd and 4th after two runs.
Now watching USA vs Slovakia in men's hockey. Slovakia has that monster-huge
6'9" defenseman.

USA vs Canada in women's hockey. Up by two goals with 3:26 left and they blow it.
No other way to put it.

I think I've become a fan of women's curling. What's not to like about a bunch of women who know how to handle a broom?

OK hockey fans...
Why did the US not have a goalie for the last minute or so in the semi against Canada?
(Clearly I am not that knowledgeable about hockey)
