Inside sources have told me from high up that due to haggling over negotiations and lack of hotel rooms (July 26th) in Detroit that Jimmy will be passing on Michigan this year. Too much going on with availability at CoPa with hotel rooms, and then PSE jumping in with DTE but haggling over profits.

Well, that post is a little suspicious. Hopefully not true, but I think it's odd an announcement hasn't come yet. Instead it's been Bocelli, Jesus Christ Superstar ticket sales. Alpine Valley in WI announced recently so not many dates left in the summer leg.

Hey people,

I know that there may be reasons that JB may not come to Detroit this year. But lack of hotel rooms would not be one of them. If an artist is planning a tour they book rooms etc. WAY in advance. I live in the 4th largerest city in N. America, Toronto (only Mexico City, NYC, and LA are bigger) and have known people "in the know". I knew of concerts here months before they were announced. With a BIG artist like Jimmy I can't see last minute negociations(sp?) getting in the way either. If he is not coming is must be something else. I do argee however that the annocement is very late in coming.

Just got word from Toronto Maplereefers PHC that Detroit has been comfirmed for either the 12th or 26th. Just waiting on the official announcement. Good things come to those who wait!!

Kind of interesting/odd. If its the 12th you've got Cleveland on June 24, then a break until the show in W.V on the 5th of July...then a break until the 12th at Comerica....then off until the 17th at Woodstock.
If it's the 26th at Comerica you've got Cincy on the 21st then a break until the 26th.
Lots of room for additional shows during the downtime....or maybe just more bounce back time for the band?.
