mauitim, you seem to be pretty accurate at tour dates, what date do you think it is going to be in Detroit, July 12th or the 26th? ?Just want to see if I cna plan our tailgate. Thanks

So this seems strange but good news cause zbb is off both of those dates and they have a show in Indy the 13th with nothing else around it...crossing my fingers

It's April 16th and we have not heard anything about a Michigan concert now, and the chatter has become very quiet, this is a little perplexing. I did read this morning that due to some rainouts the Tigers were looking at adding some make-up dates into their schedule so I wonder if that has anything to do with it?

Well, the Tigers already have away games scheduled for those weekends (12th and 26th), so those aren't being held as possible makeup dates. I have no idea what the holdup is, but has nothing to do with makeup baseball games.

Zac Brown announced his full tour at 12 is now booked for Pittsburgh he however has the 26th off and a lot of open dates in July

Well that would certainly pack I. Comerica park in Detroit if zac brown band was there too. But ZBB just played 2 shows on New Year's Eve and day in Detroit so I don't think they would play this soon again but I hope they do.

Heck right now I would just settle for jimmy announcing his Detroit date. I don't care who else is coming.

Interesting tidbit.

John Fogerty is in Europe for the July 12th date. I think we can rule that out. I doubt Jimmy plays that date with no opener.

Fogerty will be at Riverbend on friday july 25, then in Chicago on Sunday the 27th. Nothing scheduled for the 26th and in the general area which would leave him open to play at Comerica if they drove thru the night. He however has a Toledo Zoo appearance on the 30th. A show that close to Detroit normally wouldnt happen as the venue would have limits on shows within 100 miles during the same month.

So I would say the 26th is the date.....the opener ??????? I lean towards Fogerty but still hoping for a ZBB appearance.

Agree for the most part. The Toledo show was the only other U.S. show listed on the Fogerty website couple months ago when it was announced that JF was on the bill in Texas with Jimmy so Fogerty fan in the area has probably had this show penciled in for awhile. Doubt if Fogerty fan is gonna deal with the JB extravaganza....dealing with a stadium when you can do a much more intimate venue and much lower cost & get a complete Fogerty setlist. Doubt if an appearance at Comerica as a warm up will hurt the Toledo gate. But maybe we're all wrong!
Then again....maybe we're all barking up the wrong tree.
