Anyone staying at the hotels by Stonebriar mall? How far is that away? Is it easy to catch a cab to and from the stadium? There must be some places to have drinks before the show either near the mall or the stadium. We got pretty good seats, Section B, Row 13.

The mall is about 5 miles away from the stadium. I'm not sure about the cab issue, but I know some of the hotels have had shuttles to and from the stadium in past years. There are a lot of good places around the mall and stadium to have a beer. Just north of the mall (less than a mile) there is Three Stacks BBQ (http://www.3stacksbbq.com/), they have great BBQ and large assortment of beer on tap (and share the parking lot with Hooters )...as far as near the stadium there are many within walking distant...the Londoner Pub and Grup (http://www.londonerfrisco.com/) is a good place for a cold beer. Rudy's BBQ is just north of the stadium and within walking distance (I guess you can tell I like BBQ). There are many more...I'm sure others will chime in!

I am staying in that area also. From past experience, some hotels will not offer shuttle service to the stadium due to traffic concerns. Their reason is the shuttle runs every 30 minutes and they don't want it tied up at the stadium.

We're at the Windham Friday and Saturday. Anything around there? Any shuttle service from there? Can't wait to get there. Saw JB in Tulsa back in December during a blizzard. Can't wait to catch this show! Met some cool BNr's from Oklahoma at the Aloft Hotel Bar in Tulsa. Gave us a couple of really cool laminated badges. Would like to find them again.

I was told that cabs are around $20-25 to get to the stadium one way. Might as well park your own vehicle. Some people get together and carpool, so you may want to try that. You can probably hook up with other people at the hotel and possibly ride with them. A lot of people do this.

I'm kinda worried about the traffic/parking situation but we'll figure that out!

Parking isn't as bad as it might seem. We just usually end up parking in the field just to the east of the stadium and it's always been a blast!

To everyone who has not been to Frisco, please don't let the parking situation bother you at all. There is plenty of parking close to the stadium. There are a few "prime" lots but there is parking/tailgating going on everywhere. It is a little different in that not all/everyone is in the same parking lot....but that just leads to people wandering around and enjoying the scene(s) in several different areas. Come early, drink often, make new friends and see a Buffett show.... not a bad way to spend a Saturday!

I'm cool. Couldn't be any worse than Texas Moror Speedway. It's the $50.00 that really chaps my ass. I've got money but $50.00 to park is robbery!

Who's thinking June is just too far away! I am so used to getting ramped up now, with most concerts having been April/May in Frisco, TX. I am seriously missing my Phriends! Parking at $50/day is the routine. Just s*** it up and go with it, remember it's cash and if you load in Friday ('cause that's when the real fun starts) you gotta leave that car as well as pay for both days.
We aren't certain if it's just us and the element with a popup or if we can possibly manage to get someone to pull a trailer on for us.

My wife and I as well as another couple are planning on bringing RVs to the show this year (we've done it twice before, once the year that bad storm blew through on Friday---bet some of ya'll remember that). Historically we have parked in the Red Lot. I've seen mention of the Gold (prepaid) and near the pavilion mentioned. Although we usually walk all the lots before the day is over, would love to hear where people are planning on congregating so I can put some handshakes, faces, shots, etc. with some names. Might even bring along some of my infamous "Category 5" hurricanes.

Would love to meet up with and share a tailgate(and expense). We are flying in from cancun so none of our usual friends will be with us it's always more fun with a crowd. If you don't mind two middle aged parrot heads joining send me a pm or email twin7901@yahoo.com.
