Good info. Thanks. Are there bathrooms around? Sounds like a long day!

So, basically, we can't "reserve" the $50 single space parking spots, but you can reserve four spaces for a total of $560. Correct?

We just saw JB in Tulsa back in December. If I knew Frisco was going to be a parking fiasco I might have opted for Austin. We just wanted to catch him outdoors. Is it really that big of a hassle to park Saturday? I thought Texas Motor Speedway was the biggest joke in Texas.

You are more or less correct. The only thing is that the $50 is for one day (two days is $100) and that the $560 is for two days (and you have to do two days).T-bird wrote:So, basically, we can't "reserve" the $50 single space parking spots, but you can reserve four spaces for a total of $560. We have never had a problem with bathrooms (lots of portapotties), but some people like to rent their own.cozican wrote:Good info. Thanks. Are there bathrooms around? Sounds like a long day!

Gotcha! We usually get there early on Saturday and park in the field, and it's never been a problem. We are definitely going to rent a "porty" though....convenience! Re: Who's Going to Frisco Texas June 21st 2014?
Last year I parked in the field just east of the stadium for $40. It was a very short walk to the stadium and parking lots. We got to the venue around 2:00pm and there was plenty of parking in the field. Most everyone in the parking field had some type of tailgaiting going on. I would have prefered being in one of the reserved lots but the field was not bad at all. If people wanted to tailgate together and are not able/want to arrive at 7am the field on the east side would be decent alternative.
One note.........once you paid your parking fee there were people there to direct traffic and they were parking cars in one row then the next row and so forth and not allowing you to save spaces or just park willy-nilly. So if you wanted to tailgate together you would need to lineup and follow each other into the lot.

Re: Who's Going to Frisco Texas June 21st 2014?
I used this site last year, and it was fine. Here's how my day went:Planosmith1 wrote:There is likely to be some cheaper parking around the venue that's not associated with the stadium parking; and easy walking distance. However, I haven't seen any advertisements as of yet; probably when we get closer to the date. If your interested in getting a reserve spot (still expensive) there are other options besides official Toyota Stadiums lots. This site lists several locations that are in walking distance - http://www.parkhub.com/events/jimmy-buffett-2014-tour. I don't know anything about this site and am not endorsing them...just giving options.
Arrived late morning or early afternoon-ish and just parked in a random lot that was close to the BN area (are we doing the usual area by the pavilions, guys?) and walked over to the BN area and hung out there for most of the day. The spot that I got was very reasonable and close to the BN area considering the time of day it was.
Then my husband arrived at about four or five with our second car and some people who were not able to come out early.
He parked in the lot I had bought through ParkHub and then we drove over and joined him so that we could be parked together. Yes, that meant I paid for three parking spots for two cars, since I ate the one that was close to the BN crew just so I could easier hang with the group for most of the day, but it worked very well for us. We had our dinner together as a big group and hung out for a while, then went to the concert.
I am likely going to use ParkHub again this year and park in one of the close lots to allow easy in/out of the concert that night and just walk down to the BN area if there is one/to hang out.
If there was a true FFF going on, I'd likely get up crazy early and try to get parked in the FFF area, but since that's not too likely and since it's just two of us going this year, we'll likely go small time and just park close by the stadium, then walk to the BN area for the day, then walk back before the concert. We'll put our stuff in a wagon or backpack or whatever. No biggie.
But having had to park way, way, way out there before, I'd rather pay a little more (despite the parking prices being obscene) and get there whenever I want and have a good spot than risk complete BFE for still a ton of money.

...I come down to talk to me...when the coast is clear...

There are porta pottys. But as the day goes on, they tend to get gross!! We rented our own last year and it was the BEST money ever spent!! (Our only problem was shooing strangers out of it!! Sorry, no random drunk people allowed! Lol)

This is my second year going to Frisco. I've learned a lot from reading everyone's comments about parking. My boyfriend and I are looking into renting an RV this year and staying the weekend. Do you have any advice for rental places to use and what we should bring?

You may have a hard time finding an RV to rent, they go quickly. Also, the RV rental places have gotten smart over the years. When we first started going to JB in Frisco, a number of years ago, you could rent the RV for the day...now many have a minimum of a three day rental. We have rented from http://www.elmonterv.com/rent/ in the past. You might try http://www.texasrvownersrental.com/, they appear to rent out privately owned RV's. Also, Craigslists https://dallas.craigslist.org/rva/ is one place to look.sunshineintexas wrote:This is my second year going to Frisco. You can try cruise America also, they are the cheapest, but their RVs do not have a lot. (TVs, awning, or unlimited generator)sunshineintexas wrote:This is my second year going to Frisco. Give americandreamvacations.net a try. I rented from the Dallas location (Irving) and they still have some. Depending on the size it is reasonable. For a 31 foot class C, with 2 slide outs I am paying $1400, but that is with a $500 refunable deposit. So really $900 after taxes, cleaning, and unlimited generator.

Damn parking went up in Frisco! We have full service concrete, gated, RV pads with water and electric for Austin and it didn't cost this much! They have lost their minds!!! We will be going to both this year. Now we just need to figure out how many spots we need for a 35' foot trailer and a long bed dodge truck!

The best I remember the spaces are about 10' wide and around 15' long. Hope that helps.browneyedgrltx wrote:Damn parking went up in Frisco! No way in hell my rig is gonna fit in 4 spaces so we are looking at $800 pre-paid! They have lost their minds. Not even paying $300 for full RV hookups in Austin. Guess we won't be going to Frisco after all.Planosmith1 wrote:The parking folks at Frisco sent me the dimensions in an email, they are:phlip phlop repairman wrote:The best I remember the spaces are about 10' wide and around 15' long. Ticketmaster finally "opened up" the $90 and $45 floor/field seats (sections F-P). They weren't available to purchase until yesterday.

If you look back at last years thread I think there is something about RV parking on a (grassy) lot beside the venue... I think it was significantly cheaper......Friscoparking.com or something like that....... someone from BN stayed there last year but I do not remember who.........

Tamara from Tulsa stayed in the grass lot last year. I can't find anything out about it this year. I plan on going to the same place we were last year. Pay the $400 pull in and park. In the next couple of weeks we need to see if we can put together a list of how many RV's we will have.srkmrd wrote:This is why we are staying in a hotelbrowneyedgrltx wrote:No way in hell my rig is gonna fit in 4 spaces so we are looking at $800 pre-paid!
