I'm in. What's the word on preshow festivities? I'm ready ready to bring the Parrothead energy to the Chastain community

There's a Three Dollar Café on Roswell, probably one of the closest bar and grills, about a mile from the amphitheater to the east. They'd be brain-dead to not have something planned because there's no tailgating allowed in the area.

Thanks that was what I was thinking. Since I moved away from the area and I'm the only one from my usual crew to get a ticket to the show I've been trying to come up with some sort of plan.

The Atlanta Parrothead Club is doing a psudo-tailgate the Monday before at a place in Marietta. That's about the only event I've heard of.

I bet it'll be a great show (if it doesn't rain). Chastain's a great place to see a concert, I've saw John Fogerty and James Taylor there and it's really cool when they allow table setups. There's still box seats available on Live Nation but If I pay $280 for a seat I want to be right behind the glass, on top of the dugout, right on the 50 yard line, or in this case, right at the foot of the stage.

Well I'm still a little bummed by the venue, but I was thinking there is a park right next door and my there is an opportunity. So it appears I could get a permit for, maybe a "reunion", at the park. While looking into he availability of the park, all the sections of the park have been reserved for the 27th. Not the 24th or 25th or 26th, but the 27th all day and there are no listed details. Either something is planned or they are trying to keep people out of the park that day. Anyway, I'm still trying to figure something out. The PC PHC just had their annual phlocking and I can hear the music from my backyard. So I'm starting to get in the groove Hope to see y'all there.... somewhere

As always, I am looking forward to partying like Bubba does but I think Chastain will be a different due to no on-site tailgating, exorbitant ticket prices keeping many fans away. It will be fun but the vibe might be different.

Help a brother out, I looked but don't see the info.

I just found it by an internet search. But if you go to the www.atlantaga.gov page under news; under city calendar; date of the show. It still states " this is a preshow tailgating event in the parking lots"

No. First Atlanta concert I've missed in 10 years. Taking the money that it would cost for a ticket and flying up for the Jones Beach concert.
