Both very cool and a little bit sad that he could just wander through the crowd unknown.

It happens to the best of 'em though Dylan is admittedly a bit more of a chameleon than Buffett.

Bob Dylan a complete unknown in New Jersey town

it was him.

Why is it sad?

The guy makes somewhere in the order of a squillion bucks a year.

Get to tour and play to packed houses, pretty much on his own terms.

Could record an album of him reciting haiku over whale song and it would still sell.

Has a name that opens doors.

Is asked by all and sundry to do guest spots and duets.

AND

He can still go to a big festival and wander around pretty much as he pleases.

He has it sown up:
Money
Fame
and paradoxically he also has Anonymity

It ain't sad it is what he would want...

I was thinking it was kind of neat that he could do that.

I love that he gave props to the Alabama Shakes in the interview. Cool to know that he was onto them early on as were Drive-By Truckers, who were the first band to take them out on tour.
