The Future of Walnut Creek Amphitheatre

Post by Tiki Torches »

I can remember when I used to attend anywhere between 3-5 concerts a year at Walnut Creek (probably more in it's early years) but at this point, I haven't attended a concert there since 2008. Part of the reason is the expense but a bigger reason would be that they rarely have any artists on the roster that interest me. That would be because the biggest draw there these days tend to be the big country acts.

A few shows and a lot of land: Should Raleigh sell Walnut Creek Amphitheater?

I saw Rush there on July 4 back in 2002 on the Vapor Trails tour; I was on vacation and coordinated my trip to make it happen. I don't remember who had naming rights.

only saw one show there. the Friday night gather before at the Bahama Breeze was a great time. The day of the show, going thru a bottle of Gatorade just to get from the parking spot to the tailgate.. 103 and humidity to match, left a tad bit to be desired.
