I've never received a ball as a gift. 
4 - How do you do to pass the time when the power goes out?
When we had that big blackout about 10 years ago, I spent the night on the streets of midtown Manhattan. The LIRR can't run without electricity so I had no way of getting home. That's the last time I was without power for any significant length of time. During Hurricane Sandy 2 years ago I still lived on LI. My power went out twice but it came back on within a matter of minutes both times.

I don't know.
6 - What movie does the book justice?
I think they did a pretty good job with MASH.

2 - Have you ever had a celebrity encounter? Other than seeing Jimmy drive by us and waving hello in Florida a few months ago? Yes, I met Jimmy Stewart at a book signing. He was my grandfather’s commanding officer in WWII
3 - What is the most oddball gift you ever received? A rubber ducky when I was 12? I hated that song, and my parents thought they were funny. I laughed a lot.
4 - How do you do to pass the time when the power goes out? Depends on the time of day. First panic cause I don't want to lose food in the fridge and freezer. Ift at night, I’ll go to bed, daytime, I’ll read.

6 - What movie does the book justice? Silence of the Lambs.

I just thought of one. When I had a job, I used to work on trade secret, confidentiality and privilege issues in the discovery phase of litigation. My boss went online and found a picture of Buffett with someone standing next to him with their arm around him. He photoshopped my head into the picture, wrote "It's a "privilege" to have you as my fan", signed it "Jimmy Buffett", framed it and gave it to me on my birthday.
It's a small picture, only about 3X5, but I still have it.

It is a tie between a 2 foot high crap brown paper Mache Joseph pulling Mary and baby Jesus on the donkey and a 3 prong hand held "neck massager" from my 74 year old great aunt.

When I was a kid, I got a tan brown pair of shorts with one million zippers. It was hideous.

That hasn't happened in a while. If it occurred now, I'd probably hang out with the kids.

Embellished fact. I believe, scientifically, there is some strange stuff going on but it's not like space aliens are picking ships up.
6 - What movie does the book justice?
I don't read much but the Harry Potter movies were pretty true to the books I thought.

Agree with Silence of the Lambs. Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier is my all time favorite.

4 - How do you do to pass the time when the power goes out? Sit outside and have a beer.
5 - Bermuda Triangle: fact or fiction? Both. It's a fact a lot of bad luck happens there.
It's fiction the reasons people come up with for it.

One christmas i got a plastic music box thing w fiber optic flowers inside and thought i was in the clear cause it was cracked...i said aww dad thanks but its broken. He says, no problem and goes to the closet where he had like 6 more...i was screwed! I was also in my mid 30's at the time.

Not at all, it just seemed like a little fun thing to pass the day. There was a similar thing on here years ago, Friday fives, so I was pretty much plagiarizing that.
