Depends how Friday night treats me.

I hear that. But we have to power through the hangover so we can get seats in the sports book for the 9am kickoffs in college football. It's rough and usually takes a couple venti coffees but by halftime we switch to venti beers and all is good again.

MGM. That's where we are staying. We typically go down about 8:15 (9am Sunday for NFL) to claim some seats then grab some coffee to plan our betting attack. I got lucky that the wife likes to watch and bet on sports almost as much as I do so the majority of our time in Vegas this time of year is spent in a sports book.

OK, we are under two weeks so you people have to start getting excited. We get to sit back and hear about all the excitement from people going to this weekend's show and then it is our time to shine.

Ok! I am in for VEGAS! I have lost count of how many shows this is, but I think I am in the low to mid teens now. This is my second vegas show. What is going on at the pool party? Anyone have a link on it? What time is everyone getting down there?
We are staying mandalay bay friday and planet hollywood saturday. Sun and Mon at Cosmo. We are working with comps so it is hodge podge but if they price comes down a smidge we will do both nights at mandalay. So excited. I hope the weather is nice. I don't necessarily want to get into the pool but hanging out in the tropical setting could be good.
I will be bringing the boyfriend along. He is not the one some of you may have met. He is awesome, grew up in St. Pete, is a seminole as well, and he hasn't been to a buffett show (or not for about 20 years or so) but has been a fan for a long time. I am so excited he is doing the vegas show with me! Looking forward to seeing old faces. I haven't been to a show since the last Tallahassee show in 2012(?) it will feel good oh so good to hear HOT HOT HOT...

Good to see another Nole will be in Vegas. One of the reasons we chose the second weekend is so we wouldn't miss the big game against ND this Saturday. I don't have a link to the pool party but check the Flamingo's Facebook page. If you went to the street party the last time you were in Vegas it basically the same, although the scenery is better walking around the pool than in an alley.
We stay at the MGM and usually get to the Flamingo about two. Hang for a few hours then make our way back up to MGM around 5. This week is going by at a decent pace but next week will be crawling.

Anyone need extras...I have up to 8 in section 203 row Q for face value ($48 each) that I don't want to get stuck with. I'll sell any number between 1-8 tickets.

Yes we were focused on the game this weekend too. We had a whole crew staying in town for it. We are actually going from Vegas to Louisville for the Thursday night game. We are so excited! Buffett then Bourbon County and then a Beatdown!!!

GO NOLES!
We will be there in the afternoon and head back on the early side via monorail to the mgm. Last time I was in Vegas for a buffett show I sat down at a blackjack table and got dealt 3 black jacks in a row. I am hoping to hop on a table at MGM this time and recreate some of that magic.

Does anyone know where the new TAP Sports Bar is in the MGM? Is it near the sports book or down on the way to the arena where all the other restaurants are?

Taps is where the Lions used to be. So on the west side near the strip and poker room and sportsbook.

Sweet, thanks. I'll be parked in or near the sports book most of the day Saturday and Sunday. Who am I kidding, probably Friday night too with some college games and the World Series.

Come on people it's Vegas, get excited!! Three pages is pathetic. You should be up there with great woods and hershey. I doubt you'll ever be able to achieve the greatness of the JLL thread though.

This thread's page count seems to get cut in half each year. As does that of the first Vegas weekend. I guess that means that those of us who are participating have to drink and gamble even harder, you know, to make up for the rest.
